Jason was deep in research, sifting through old texts and digital archives about fire drakes. The more he uncovered, the more he realized how much he didn't know. The myths and legends painted a picture of these creatures that was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Fire drakes, according to the ancient texts, were wise and cunning beings. They were known for their stealth and ability to hunt down prey with precision before using their fiery breath to finish the job. Their intelligence was legendary, as was their capacity for creating and enforcing magical bargains.

Jason leaned back, absorbing the information. He pulled up the latest notes on his computer, which had become cluttered with details about fire drakes and their abilities. His mind was racing with the implications for Aubrey.

He was interrupted by a notification on his phone. It was a message from Dick, who had been digging into the magical aspects of the drakes. Jason quickly opened the message.

Dick: Just found something interesting. Fire drakes were known for making those magical bargains. They often asked for something in return that was usually more valuable than what they provided. These bargains were sealed with a spell that would kill the person if they broke the agreement. The bargain was marked by a tattoo that would appear on both the Firedrake and person making the deal.

Jason's eyes widened. He remembered the tattoos he'd seen on Aubrey's arms, though he'd never seen them clearly.

Jason: Aubrey has tattoos on her arms. I've never seen them fully, but could they be these bargain tattoos?

Dick: The bargain tattoos are typically small and subtle, and there is only supposed to be one. They're usually not very noticeable unless you're looking for them. If Aubrey has them, she might have acquired the ability to make bargains herself.

Jason called Dick, who had left to go search through some magical archive thing the Justice League had.

Jason felt a chill run down his spine. "So Aubrey could have the power to make bargains. That could explain how she managed to escape the League and build her empire."

Damian, who had been listening in, nodded thoughtfully. "If she can make bargains, she could have used that ability to gain allies or resources. She could have made one with Grandfather to ensure her safety once she left. It might also be how she managed to navigate the dangerous world she's been in."

Jason's mind raced with possibilities. "And it would explain why she's so powerful. If she's bound by these bargains, it would also explain why she's been able to manipulate situations to her advantage. She might be making deals that we don't even know about."

Dick agreed, adding, "If she can create and enforce bargains, she could have used this ability to not only survive but thrive. And she could force the people into silence by adding conditions to the deal."

Damian's eyes narrowed. "But it also means she's bound by these bargains. She could be in a precarious situation if she's made deals she can't break or if others discover her powers."

Jason nodded, considering the implications. "We need to be careful how we approach her. If she's made bargains, there could be consequences we don't fully understand. We should also try to find out more about these tattoos. If they are indeed linked to the fire drake, they could hold clues about her current situation and how we can help her."

Dick agreed, "I'll dig more into the specifics of these tattoos and how they work. We need to understand all the details before we make any moves."

The team continued their investigation, each of them focused on uncovering more about Aubrey's past and the fire drake's influence. As the pieces began to fall into place, the complexity of Aubrey's situation became clearer, and the need for caution grew more pressing.
