Murtasim dashed behind her and grabbed her hand before she could any more. His intention was not to hurt her feelings in this manner, but he must make amends right now. He was taking this in a playful manner as he is not ready for confessing his feelings yet. Although he is sure that he loves her, he wants to hear her side of the story before they proceed with their relationship. Furthermore, admitting emotions is not easy; it takes courage, which he lacks. How can he express his feelings when she is already warned him not to fall in love with her?
Meerab glared back, realizing that Murtasim was holding her hand, and said angrily, "Leave my hand." Not wanting to let go of her hand, Murtasim shook his head. His gorgeous eyes drew Meerab in, and she felt powerless to pull her hand away from him. She can not hurt him since it would mean indirectly hurting herself.
"What happened?", he inquired, although he already knew the answer.
"If there was never love, why did you kiss me? Are... ", he cut her off in the midst, not wanting them to go back to the beginning of their relationship . It would hurt him if she talked about his intentions so in fear he didn't let her finish.
"Stop right there. Meerab", he said, raising his voice slightly to cut her off in the middle so she would not blame him.
"I asked your permission first and the words I said a minute ago were in a playful manner. We must fully understand one another in order to be in love. We are married and between couples it's normal. Are you misinterpreting my intentions again?", he said, and Meerab stared at him startled since this was not what she meant. She shook her head nervously since she had not meant anything in this way, and she believes him for it.
"Nai esa mat sochna," Meerab said as she stepped up close to him and rested her hand on his shoulder. She is just furious at him because he did not admit his feelings for her. Nothing else . She was going to ask him why he cared for her so much if he did not love her. She was going to question him, "Are you even serious?" when he interrupted her. Her thoughts are clear; she does not even want him to quit loving her since she feels at home with him.
"Mera vo matlab nahi tha", she said, reassuring him that she was telling the truth by gazing into his eyes. She has witnessed the sincerity of his love and affection in his eyes, therefore she can never doubt his intentions. His remarks alone caused her to have doubts. If it is not love then what it is?
"Then what should I think?" He asked. Looking down, Meerab tried to work up the nerve to ask him how he felt, but she was unable to do so because she did not want to hear him tell her again that he did not love her. She does not want to say anything hurtful to him as it would make her upset again. She turned to face him, and he shook his head in disappointment before turning back to face their room and removing her hand from his shoulder. She was momentarily stunned to realize that she had hurt him again. He never expressed emotion when they were living together before , so when he does now, she feels a sudden, intense anguish in her heart. It hurts so much.
As Meerab followed him inside the room, she saw that he was laying on the bed with his hand covering his eyes and his other hand resting on his stomach as he carefully moved her accessories to one side. Meerab approached him and sat next to him on the bed. Not wanting to talk to her at this moment, Murtasim took off his fingers to look at her and then closed his eyes after a quick glance. He is confused if she is serious with him or not? Does she realise that sometimes her words can hurt his soul? Since he does not want to yell in pain or fury, he decided to remain silent.
When Meerab called, "Murtasim", he responded with a hum. Putting her palm over his hand that was on his stomach , Meerab sighed, realizing that he was clearly upset with her.
"Suno", she called him, and he responded in a humming tone once again, which did not sit well with her. She became agitated and questioned, "So gye ho kya?".
