"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME I WOULD BE WORKING WITH A PARTNER?!" Rouge yelled. "Because I knew you back out of the mission or refused to do it." Amy replied and Rouge crossed her arms glaring at her. "So tell me how do you feel about agent Red? He's pretty good looking isn't he?" Amy smiled. "I swear if this was set up I'm going to fucking kill you." Rouge. "No Rouge you know the first rule of undercover work. Never fall in love. I just figured you having a good looking guy with you could take your mind off of Shadow." She smile and Rouge rolled her eyes. "Whatever" she huffed and turned to leave when she sees the echidna. "The hell are you doing here." She said. "Come to turn in my approval paperwork in working with you." He smirked and placed the papers on Amy's desk. "I'm glad you think so" Amy smiled. Rouge scoffed then walks out and knuckles wasn't far behind her. "You can stop licking now~" she said and sonic rose from under her desk. "You're a hell of a woman" he smirked. "That I am~ now locked the door~"
"Let me take you to lunch~" knuckles said. "Hard pass we're just partners nothing else." Rouge said. "Ouch who hurt a stunning woman like you to have you be so cold~" he asked. She stops and crossed her arms glaring at him. "What?" "Look here we both have a job to do so please refrain from getting into my personal life." She said. "Well we don't know how long this will be so why not kill time and get to know each other?" He smiled and she rolled her eyes and continued walking. "I stand by my decision" she said and he follows. "Was it Shadow?" He said and she stops. "How the hel—" "I overheard you and Amy." He said and she sighed. "How did he hurt you?" He asked and she saw he was being genuine. "I need a drink if I'm going to explain...." She said and he nods. "I know a good place." He said and they leave.
Rouge sips on her drink as they sat in a penthouse bar. Knuckles does the same and Rouge sighs before telling him about what shadow did. How she found him cheating on her with a man. Knuckles sees the anger and pain in her eyes as she talked and felt bad for her. "So that's who hurt me..." she finished her drink. "I'm sorry he did that. A man like that doesn't deserve a woman like you." He said and she nods. "Thanks... I appreciate the drink and for listening. I'll see you tomorrow ok?" She said getting up. "Of course." He smiled and watched her leave.
