Wherever you go, I won't be far to follow
Oh, I'm gonna love you so
You'll learn what I already know
I love you means you're never, ever, ever getting rid of me.

People would either call it love or obsession. Nikita herself can't decide which it is she feels for him. Is she just horrible and using him to satisfy her own guilt? She wished she was, so that this burning sensation in her heart she feels at the mere memory of him being hurt would disappear. She wished the memory would disappear like it never happened.

But it did happen. She can see it in the way he walks and the nature of which he talks. He can see her. Ness looks at her with wide eyes. He seems less happy to see her after what she pulled, but glad she's okay. "Are you okay? It was storming that day, you know? Did you get home, okay?" He's worried about her like they're friends. Are they friends?

"Friends. Are we friends, Ness?" The boy looks confused but happily nods. "Mhm, we're really good friends!" She lets out a sigh of relief. The rest of the team goes to sort out the bags and everything. But Noa just stands there. Nikita doesn't reply to Ness before she runs up to hug Noa like a girl who missed her father.

She didn't understand it, but she almost missed her real one too. They never bonded or did anything together. They kind of just coexisted, but she was so used to just having him. Even having him yell was just nothing, now. "You okay, kid?" She shook her head. "I didn't go home yesterday." Ness looks at her worriedly. Kaiser doesn't even glance.

Her heart crushed instantly. "But it's no biggie. I'm coming with you to Japan, by the way." Noa looks startled for a second before shrugging it off. Kaiser finally looks at her. "Don't come." She froze. She has no clue what to say. "I can't not come. I'm sorry, what else do you want me to do. I would rather have died in that storm than leave without making up."

For eight years, she waited for him. She would continue to wait for him if she had to. But she didn't want to. She really knows this is a stupid idea, but she has to. "I don't care if you don't understand it at all. I just don't want to let go of you." He frowns. He feels his heart melting at her warmth. "If you want to hit me back, whatever, I don't care. Just... don't stop being my sweet boy."

Hers. He's not really thought of it that way since they were little. "Yours? Are you mine too?" She shrugged. "Well, I want to be. But who knows, maybe Japan will be fun." He scoffs. "It's not like I can stop you. But I don't want to see you." She laughs. "Well, that's too late. Because I haven't really erm sorted out accommodation."

Noa sighs at her irresponsibility. "Such a kid." She really does enjoy being treated like a child sometimes. But only in the way Noa does it. Makes her feel like she's still growing up. Like she's someone else's daughter. "And I've got ties with Ego, obviously. So, I asked him, and he said I could stay there. With him. I even get my own like football room and stuff." She doesn't even play football.

"You got lots of connections. You're really cool, Nikita." Ness is just sweet. He just stays there clueless to everything that has gone on between them. "I don't even play footy! But either way, you can't get rid of me!" She nervously chuckles. "That sounds creepy? Hm, more like, I don't know, I'm crazy about you, Michael. Can't you be crazy about me, too?"

She knows it doesn't really work like that. He drags her away from everyone. "You.. fuck. What you did was really fucking mean. Shattering my trust like that and then coming here like you're some saint. It's really unfair." He was right. She knew he was right. She couldn't help but feel guilty. It was wrong.

Even so, she couldn't give up. He could see it more than she ever could. She had that same look in her eyes from when he was truly just hers. When all she knew was that he was Michael, and he was hers. That was all he ever wanted, but life doesn't flow in the way that you wish, does it? It doesn't. "I'm sorry."

Maybe that's why he couldn't stand it when she was the one crying. He never cried, but she still wiped away his tears. He knows she didn't mean to. He just. Fuck, he couldn't hold anymore. His hands wrapped around her involuntarily. "It's okay. We're okay. I promise." He hated making promises. But if it's for her, he can't think of what he would not do.

"It's okay."
