Kavya POV
"Guys. This is serious. What if the humanities stream doesn't come in the school next year? If it doesn't then I will have to change schools!! This will be the end of SGs!!!" I screamed in horror to my friends who were busy stuffing their mouths with Aloo Parantha which my mom packed.
We were sitting in a group, enjoying lunch when I suddenly realised that if next year our school doesn't introduce us the humanities stream, then it will all be over, my time in this school. Not only that, but our friendships will get affected too.
This is what always happens. I'm kinda experienced now.
No matter how much we promise to be by each others side, we all eventually go our separate ways, it just isn't possible.
Everyone eventually moves on but me. I always get stuck and cannot move on.
And it hurts. I get hurt because of this every single time.
As soon as I said that 7 heads snapped towards me with food stuffed in their mouths and if this was a normal day, I would have been laughing my ass off.
But this was serious.
"Are, why are you worrying Kavya? Rachna ma'am told us that there are more than 80% chances for the stream to be introduced. So it is will be don't worry." Vanya said going for another bite of the parantha.
"Yes, but there is still a 20% chance that it won't! What am I gonna do if this happens?" I said now more panicked.
"Abe, if humanities doesn't come na then wherever you will go, we will follow you. Okay? Or we will beg the school to introduce this stream for us. We are not going to leave you. Trust us." Naina spoke now.
I have known these girls since 8th grade. We are in 10th now and although it has only been 2 years, I feel they are my family.
These are the only friends I'll ever need. They're all I'll ever want.
A smile made its way on my face and I visibly relaxed.
I did not need to speak another word because I knew they understood what I meant.
I love you guys.
They went back to stuffing their faces with food and I started eating too with a smile on my face.
Now
All my friends stared at me with shock and a little anger except Naina. She looked sad and on the verge of crying.
She recovered first and came near me. She held my hand and started speaking, "H-how've you been?" "I-I've b-been okay."
The others looked at Naina with shock. Did they not know she invited me?
"Naina, you knew Kavya was going to come?" Vanya asked her in a surprised tone.
Naina turned to them and spoke, "Actually... I was the one who invited Kavya.
I called in her company numerous times and they finally gave me her manager's number. Her manager only gave me her email address. I was not sure if she would come but she did. That's all that matters."
