Kavya POV
The day I arrived was the final tranquil day before the impending storm.
I did not know that weddings required so much work to do. We were all practically living in shopping malls.
For four days straight, we went out shopping, and all of us except Naina picked out Lehengas at Aditya's company to wear for the functions.
They had the best designs. We went on short notice, but since Aditya is the company's literal owner, our outfits were the top priority.
By the time the shopping trips ended, we all had already entered the task territory. All of us were assigned certain tasks we needed to manage.
I have to admit, though, that Naina and Pranay are pretty smart. They gave us the responsibilities and are enjoying themselves in the hotel. But who can blame them? It is their wedding after all.
"Alright guys, listen up. We are delegating the tasks of the wedding to you guys. Make sure all of you handle it. By the way, we love you all so much for your help. Thanks!!" Naina said in a cheerful voice.
Some laughed mockingly, while others were just smiling. All of us decided to pitch in to help since we were the chosen bridesmaids and groomsmen. Naina and Pranay are already too stressed about their wedding. We don't want to trouble them more.
"Okay, I have the list right here. Let's begin." Pranay said.
"Vanya and Sahil, you both are in charge of the catering (food) and makeup artists," Pranay spoke.
"Then, Khushi and Dhruv, you both are responsible for the hairstylists and the lighting arrangements," Pranay spoke.
"Neha and Shaurya, you both have to manage venue arrangements and the decor for the outdoors," Naina said.
"Naya and Kabir, you both have to manage the decorations for the indoors and also the hotel rooms," Naina spoke.
"Lastly, Kavya and Aditya, you both have to manage the floral arrangements and the guest list," Pranay said. I swear I saw him smirking at Aditya, but when he realized I was looking at him, his face straightened.
Aditya scowled at him as if he knew what his best friend was going to do. Pranay just made a teasing look, which Aditya did not appreciate. clearly. I did not either.
Every head in the room turned towards the 2 of us. We were just sitting there awkwardly, trying to avoid each other's gaze.
"No. How can you put the two of us together? Have you guys lost it?" We both said together.
Everyone just laughed in response. What? I don't understand. Why are they doing this?
After a lot of denying (it was basically us practically begging to not wanting to work together.), in the end, they won (of course they did).
And now, after 4 hours of that, here we are sitting awkwardly in the car as Aditya is driving to the floral shop that we have to go to.
Naina has already shortlisted 4 flower options.
We just have to check on them once more, ask Naina what she wants, and place the order while completing the formalities.Neither of us spoke a word as we sat in the car. No one even dared to turn on the music because of what happened the last time we switched it on.
I am technically still working until the wedding functions start, which is exactly 2 weeks later from now. Until then, we all have to attend dance practices in the morning for 5 hours (I think I'm going to be sick, to be honest, after all these dance practices).
