Semi performs on stage once more, not as the performance itself but as the host. It's for some event with multiple performances from different classes. With the event Semi also changed outfits to something more fitting to the theme.
As I watch the performances and joke around with friends, I hear a screech beside me. It was from Maria Machiko, a second year like me but in a different class.
"Gahhhh!!!! Semi-san!!" Machiko says as she leans back towards her friend while covering her face. I look towards her friend in confusion to which she smiles awkwardly.
"What?" I ask her and she replies by shaking her head. Then it clicks. Machiko likes Semi.
....
I feel numb as I absorb this fact. Looking towards her before looking back on the stage. All the excitement I felt a while ago suddenly disappearing as I put my head down. I force myself back into a happy attitude, trying to act like nothing happened, as I look back at my friends and laugh at their mischief. The fact of Machiko's crush staying with me until the end of the day.
Well it makes sense after all Machiko is also into music and has an amazing voice. She even performed with him in a play last year. It would also make sense if Semi liked Machiko, with similar interests and a bubbly personality she would be the perfect girl for him.
The event ended and the day went on until it was the end of the day. I was in the dorm with Taichi, he was on his bed while I was on the desk reviewing the lessons.
"You know how I got close with Jayden, right?" Taichi says out of nowhere.
Jayden was an American who was born and raised in Japan. It was only this year when Taichi talked to him and they got close.
"Yeah? What about him?"
"Well apparently he has a crush on Machiko-san."
My pen stops as I look at him. "So? Loads of people like Machiko-san."
"Well apparently his friend Hayashi-san also has a crush on him but Hayashi-san doesn't know that he does too." Taichi replied.
"There are also rumours of Machiko-san dating Semi-san or at least liking him." I replied back.
Taichi hummed. "Who do you think Machiko-san likes?"
"Well a while ago I saw her leaning on Yamashita-san while covering her face during Semi speaking." I turned back to my reviewer.
"Well who knows." Taichi says before changing the topic to Yamagata.
After 5 minutes of Taichi talking about Yamagata I take out my phone and text Shigeru.
