Machiko and Densuke are eating lunch together. They're so cute it's sickening. Taichi keeps elbowing me and pointing to their direction. I elbow him back, harder, and he finally stops.
"Oh, by the way, did you guys hear?" Souto, our friend, asks.
"Hear, what?" Taichi asks back.
"Apparently, Semi-san has a girlfriend!" Souto answers.
My hand stops, and my eyes widen. "Oh.. does he..?"
"Yeah! We've gotten really close recently with him being friends with my friends, but he never said who it was."
"Sou, your friends with everybody, I'm more surprised you haven't been friends sooner." Taichi teases him.
"But I wonder who his girlfriend is.." I reply.
"Yeah, but Semi-san is handsome, I wonder if they've been dating recently or since last year." Souto says. "I've been trying to guess, but the only hints he gives me is she's smart, athletic, and pretty. That could be anyone!"
"Do you think he might have lied with one of the hints?" Taichi asks, and Souto nods.
"He says to make it harder, he will add a lie in the hints, which makes this hunt even more difficult!" Souto complains.
"Yeah, it could be any girl from any school.." I quickly take out my phone to ask the 2nd gen captains gc.
"No, he said she was in Shiratorizawa, but the school has so many students.." I quickly stop typing and put my phone back.
"Well, there's only a few 3rd years that I know of.. is it Suzuki-san?" I ask him.
"I'll ask him later." Souto takes out his phone and types something. "Come on, keep guessing, and I'll tell him my answers."
Taichi and I keep spouting out all the girls we know, and Souto keeps typing them.

Souto pov
"Semi-san!!" I wave over to him before he leaves.
"Oh, hey, Souto, what's up?" He stops.
"Okay, so I've got a list of girls here that I think might be your girlfriend." I take out my phone. "Suzuki-san?"
"No, no way, she's way out of my league." Semi waves his hands quickly.
I nod and start listing down the girls on the list with Semk denying every single one of them.
"This is impossible! That's every single girl I know, and there's still that one lie!"
Semi smirks. "If you want another hint, they don't wear glasses."
"Wow, very helpful."
"Okay, how about this? They're shorter than me."
"Most girls are shorter than you. These hints are dumb!"
"No, they're not if you know the lie." I cross my arms, and Semi sighs. "Okay, I'll give you the biggest hint. They're the brattiest, most sarcastic, and irritable person that I've ever met."
And with that, Semi says goodbye and goes to the gym. I leave and put down the new information on my phone.

The next day I bump into Nagatsuka-san.
"Sorry!" I apologize.
"Don't worry, don't worry, it's fine. Oh hey, you're Souto, right? Semi and Machiko's 2nd year friend."
"Matsumoto Souto, and you are Nagatsuka-san?" I ask, hopefully getting it right.
"Yup, Nagatsuka Shuugo, so I've been meaning to ask, but what have you and Semi been talking about recently? You always seem to approach him and then leave quickly."
"Ah, Semi told me about his girlfriend, and I've been trying to guess who it is, do you know?" I explain and ask him.
"No, sorry, this is the 1st time I've ever heard of her. But what are the clues you've got?" He leans over as I take our my phone.
"It's only these for now." I wrote down pieces of our conversation, in case I missed a hint or something. It's something Shirabu always does, and it always annoys me. He hid clues in sentences and never specifically said that clue. "He told me there was one lie in his original clues, and I think it might be athletic."
He looks at it for a while. "Person..?"
"Hm?" I look at him.
"Ah, no, it's nothing, I may just have been overanalyzing it, but why didn't he just say girl?" I pause with this new realization.
"Y-you're right!" I quickly face my phone back to me. "I didn't realise that.. but that just complicates things even more. We don't even know if it's a girl or a boy now.."
"How about this, I'll help you with this guessing game." Nagatsuka-san offers his hand and I hesitate.
"Wait.. what do you gain from this?" I ask him, suspicious.
"What do you mean? I get to hold this over my band mates in knowing who Semi's dating." Nagatsuka puffs out his chest and I shake his hand.

Shirabu pov
We we're having our 10 minute break when 2 3rd years approached our classroom. They were asking for one of our classmates and ask my friend asks for that classmate I turn around to look for them.
When I suddenly look at the door, it was Semi, our eyes met for a second before I quickly looked away and kept talking to my friend, spotting a black and white butterfly outside the window. Semi and his friend went away with our classmate and I tried calming down my beating heart.
