...Never before...
Ji-ah was having dinner with her brother, Jay. They had come out after a long time. They were having pretty much fun when Jay's phone rang.
"Hello, Hoon? "
"Jay, where are you? "
"I am on a date with Ji-ah. "
"Wait. You guys went dinner without me? "
"You were busy. "
"Anyway. Heeseung hyung just left the party. He met with Mark hyung and left abruptly. Please check on him. "
"Alright." Jay was concerned. He didn't really know what happened with Mark but he certainly knew that along the last two years he had never heard Heesung talking about Mark without getting depressed.
"Ji-ah we need to leave. "
"What happened oppa? "
"Hee... Is not in a good situation. I need check on him. "
"What happened? Is he okay?" Ji-ah panicked. Something stirred the moment she heard Heeseung's name. She was more worried than she ever was.
Ji-ah quickly got up from his seat.
"Let's go oppa. "Jay had never seen Ji-ah this worried. Rarely but only for her family. Jay didn't know how to react.
They left for Heeseung's house, but he was not there.
Jay remembered how he would go to Han river whenever he was heartbroken or depressed. One day, Heeseung had found him there and it kind of became their runaway place. He turned his car towards the direction. Within a few minutes they were at the bridge where he saw Heeseung's car parked at a distance and the man himself was leaning on the railing.
Before Jay could even think of getting out of the car, Ji-ah rushed towards Heeseung. Jay could only watch the interaction between the two as his bestfriend of years hugged his little sister and cried on her shoulder.
Heeseung was not like this. He pushed people away when he was depressed. He would lash out on Jay if Jay approached him when he was in a foul mood. Same went for Sunghoon. He created a wall around him and never showed his emotions. That's why people believed he was strong. But he wasn't. He had his weak moments which he never showed but here he was, breaking down in front of a woman he met a month ago.
Jay was shocked to his very core. Seeing his strong best friend cry like a baby and only his sister who could console him, he realised. Ji-ah was the person Heeseung needs too and not just the other way round. They were made for each other. And he would do anything to get them together. He decided to stay a while in car, too afraid to interupt the moment.
Heeseung realised the position he was in when his tears dried up. He realised that Ji-ah was actually here.
"How did you find me? " He asked her, as he rubbed his eyes and turned towards the river, embarrassed.
"It's alright. Every person has a weak moment. You don't have to feel embarrassed. " Ji-ah slowly caressed his back.
"I am not... What are you doing here, this late at night, alone? "
"I was on a date, with Jay oppa. He got a call from Hoon oppa that you were not feeling good. So we left to find you. We found you here. "
Heeseung panicked as he heard the word date, and relaxed as soon as he heard 'Jay'. But then he heard 'Hoon' and then 'Jay' and he panicked again.
"He is here? Jay? "
"Yes. He is... " Ji-ah looked around for her brother only to find him sitting in the car. She was too caught up being worried about Heeseung that she didn't notice her brother not following her.
