Subhadra's POV:
I remembered the day Riya confided in me, her tears falling like rain as she poured out her heart. "I don't want to marry Arjun, Subhadra...I love Tilak, but my father won't listen." My own heart had broken for her, and for a moment, I felt a pang of sorrow, remembering my own lost love for Arjun.
But I pushed aside my emotions, putting on a mask of calm determination. "We'll figure something out, Riya...we'll make a plan." And so, we hatched a scheme, our whispers and giggles filling the night air as we worked together to set Riya free. I couldn't help but think of my own dreams, my own heartaches, but I pushed them aside, focusing on helping my dear friend. Little did I know, fate had other plans, and soon, I'd find myself face to face with the one person I thought I'd never see again - Arjun.Authors pov :
Subhadra's eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief as she handed Arjun's fiancée, Riya, a small bag. "Here, take this. It's a new phone, a new identity, and a new life.
Riya's voice trembled. "But what about the wedding? What about his family?"
Subhadra's grip on Riya's hand tightened. "Don't worry about them. Worry about yourself. You deserve better."
As Riya nodded, Subhadra led her out of the house, away from the opulent wedding preparations, and into a new dawn.____________________
Arjun's mother wept uncontrollably, her cries fueling Arjun's rage. Kabir's words, "Her friend helped her, she's in her room," ignited a fire within him.
Arjun stormed towards the room, his anger boiling over. He flung open the door, and his eyes landed on Subhadra, her calm demeanor a stark contrast to his turmoil. For a moment, he was taken aback, his emotions in a tangled mess - shock, anger, hurt, and a hint of longing. But he suppressed the chaos, his face hardening into a mask of determination. "You," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "You helped her escape." Subhadra stood tall, her eyes flashing with defiance, as Arjun's gaze pinned her down, his words dripping with accusation. The air was heavy with tension, the silence between them a living, breathing thing. He asked her, "Where is she? Where is Riya?"Subhadra stood tall, her eyes flashing with defiance. "She's gone, Arjun. And she's not coming back."
Arjun's eyes narrowed. "You did this, didn't you? You helped her escape."
Subhadra smiled sweetly. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't. But one thing's for sure - Riya's free to enjoy her life now."
Arjun's eyes blazed with determination as he gazed at Subhadra. "You think you've won, don't you? You think you've outsmarted me?"
Subhadra stood tall, her eyes flashing with defiance. "I didn't do it to outsmart you, Arjun. I did it to save Riya."
As Arjun's eyes locked onto Subhadra, a maelstrom of emotions churned within him. Shock and anger wrestled for dominance, followed by a deep-seated hurt that she would help Riya escape but not acknowledge his own feelings.
Arjun's smile was cold, calculating. "Well, now it's my turn. You see, Subhadra, I've realized that the best way to hurt you is to make you mine."Subhadra's eyes widened in horror as Arjun's words sank in. "You can't be serious."
Arjun's grin grew wider. "Oh, I'm dead serious. We're getting married, Subhadra. And it's going to be a union you'll never forget."His pride wounded, Arjun's determination morphed into an obsessive desire for revenge, fixating on making Subhadra his, not out of love, but to prove a point
Subhadra felt a chill run down her spine as Arjun's words echoed in her mind. She knew she had to escape, but Arjun's grip was too strong.
Possessiveness consumed him, seeing Subhadra as a possession to own and control, rather than a person with her own agency.Arjun and Subhadra's marriage was a union born of revenge and obligation, not love. The ceremony was a cold, calculated affair, with Arjun's eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity as he gazed at Subhadra. She, on the other hand, seemed resigned, her eyes downcast, her face a mask of quiet determination. As they exchanged vows, the air was thick with tension, the silence between them a palpable thing. Arjun's grip on Subhadra's hand was tight, possessive, as if daring her to escape. The marriage was a trap, a prison sentence for both, with no escape in sight.
Arjun x Subhadra marriage:
