It was a Friday night, and the practice room was alive with energy as the 4 boys were practicing their song that they had prepared for a special stage unit. Music blasted from the speakers as Seungmin and Hyunjin stood in the center of the room, their feet tapping to the beat. Jisung was sprawled out on the floor, utterly exhausted after hours of choreography practice, while Minho, unfazed, stretched in the corner.

“You look like you’ve been run over by a truck,” Hyunjin commented, glancing down at Jisung, who was staring blankly at the ceiling.

Jisung groaned dramatically. “I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck. And then backed over again.”

Seungmin laughed, offering a hand to help Jisung up. “You’re not done yet. We’ve still got another run-through.”

“Don’t remind me,” Jisung whined, though he took Seungmin’s hand and hauled himself to his feet.

Minho stood up, rolling his shoulders. “Quit complaining. You’ll survive.”

Jisung shot Minho a glare, but it lacked any real heat. “Easy for you to say, you’re a dance machine.”

“Yeah, and you’re just jisung” Hyunjin teased, earning a playful smack on the arm from Jisung.

Before they could start again, Seungmin’s phone buzzed. He glanced at it and grinned. “Looks like practice is cut short today. Manager’s letting us off early.”

“Seriously?” Jisung perked up immediately, his exhaustion forgotten. “Oh, thank God!”

Hyunjin let out a relieved sigh. “I’m not complaining. We’ve been at it all day.”

As they packed up, Seungmin glanced over at Minho and Jisung, who were lingering behind. A mischievous glint appeared in his eyes as he nudged Hyunjin. “You know,” Seungmin whispered to him, “those two are painfully obvious.”

Hyunjin snorted. “You’re telling me? I’ve been watching this slow-burn romance for months It’s ridiculous.”

Seungmin rolled his eyes dramatically. “Should we do something about it? Give them a push?”

Hyunjin smirked. “I think it’s time.”

Jisung and Minho were too busy gathering their stuff to notice Seungmin and Hyunjin quietly plotting behind them. As they were about to leave, Seungmin cleared his throat.

“Hey, why don’t we all grab dinner together? Celebrate surviving another practice session?” Seungmin suggested, eyes gleaming.

“Sounds good to me,” Jisung said, slinging his bag over his shoulder. “I’m starving.”

Hyunjin exchanged a quick glance with Seungmin before casually adding, “Actually, I just remembered I have to meet up with some friends tonight. You two should go without me.”

“Wait—” Jisung started, but Seungmin quickly chimed in.

“Yeah, and I promised my cousin I’d help him move tonight. Totally forgot.” Seungmin patted Jisung on the shoulder. “But you and Minho should still go. Have some quality time

Jisung blinked, narrowing his eyes. “Why do I feel like you two are up to something?”

Seungmin’s expression was innocent, too innocent. “What? Us? Never.”

Before Jisung could protest, Seungmin and Hyunjin were out the door, leaving him standing awkwardly beside Minho. He turned to look at him, his heart doing that annoying flip-flop thing again.

Minho raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “I think we’ve just been set up.”

Jisung huffed. “They’re terrible matchmakers.”

Minho chuckled. “I don’t know. Maybe they’re not so terrible.”

Jisung blinked, caught off guard. “Wait, what?”

Minho slung his bag over his shoulder, giving Jisung a small, knowing smile. “Come on. Let’s get dinner.”

Still reeling from Minho’s casual response, Jisung followed him out of the building and into the cool night air. They ended up at a small restaurant nearby, one of their usual places. The conversation flowed easily, as it always did, filled with teasing and laughter. But there was something different about tonight—a tension lingering just beneath the surface that neither of them acknowledged.

As they waited for their food, Minho leaned back in his chair, studying Jisung. “You know,” he started, his voice low, “Seungmin and Hyunjin aren’t exactly subtle.”

Jisung picked at the napkin on the table, trying to focus on anything but Minho’s piercing gaze. “Yeah, I noticed. They’re always up to something.”

Minho leaned forward slightly, his eyes never leaving Jisung. “Maybe they’re just tired of waiting.”

Jisung’s heart skipped a beat. “Waiting for what?”

Minho tilted his head, his expression softening. “For us to stop dancing around it.”

Jisung froze, his mind racing. *Was he really saying what I think he’s saying?* He looked up at Minho, trying to read his expression, but it was unreadable.

“Minho, I—” Jisung started, but Minho cut him off.

“Jisung, I like you,” Minho said, his voice firm but gentle. “I’ve liked you for a while now. And if you feel the same way, then I don’t see the point in pretending anymore.”

Jisung’s breath caught in his throat. He felt a rush of emotions all at once—relief, nervousness, excitement. He had imagined this moment a hundred times in his head, but now that it was happening, it felt surreal.

“I… I feel the same,” Jisung finally admitted, his voice barely more than a whisper. “I’ve liked you for so long, I just didn’t know if—”

Before he could finish, Minho reached across the table, taking Jisung’s hand in his. “I know,” Minho said softly. “But we’re here now.”

Jisung stared at their intertwined hands, feeling a warmth spread through him. It was simple, but it felt right. He looked up at Minho, a smile slowly forming on his face. “So… does this mean we’re dating?”

Minho chuckled, squeezing his hand. “I think so.”

Jisung grinned, his heart feeling lighter than it had in months. “About time.”

Outside the restaurant, Seungmin and Hyunjin watched from a distance, peeking through the window like two over-involved parents.

Hyunjin smirked. “Looks like our plan worked.”

Seungmin nodded, a satisfied smile on his face. “Of course it did. We’re geniuses.”

Hyunjin just looked at the boy with playfully narrowed eyes “don't get excited, babe”he added with a chuckle, making Seungmin blush

“don't call me that in public..” reminded Seungmin, looking away from embarrassment.

Hyunjin just laughed and looked back at the new formed couple that was sitting inside, enjoying their time together.

He could only smile tenderly as he witnessed the beginning of a wonderful love story that he could brag about having put together
