Do y'all think it's too soon for Giyuu to be thinking about marriage? Like it's realistically only been like 6-7 months since y'all met. I need feedback cuz I can't decide if I want to prolong the book or have a time skip. Like they have three years left of college, should I do a time skip for the last few chapters?

Anyway onto the chapter where Giyuu DOESN'T propose!

“Aniki, please calm down.” (Name) pleads into her phone, pacing the room in worry.

Shinazugawa had called in the middle of the night, drunk off his ass to rant about something. I hadn't been able to piece together what was actually wrong, but my girlfriend seemed disturbed. But by the way the (Hair Color) haired woman was reacting, told me it probably wasn't to complain about his studies.

“No, that's a terrible idea. Don't do anything rash, Nemi. It's going to be alright.” (Eye Color) eyes looked over to me and she mouthed ‘Kanae’.

I immediately understood, realizing that the Behavioral Psychology major was once again losing his mind over his on and off girlfriend. Kanae, the oldest of the Kocho sisters, consistently broke up with him. It was no secret why; she had a busy career and didn't have the time for a committed relationship. While it wasn't just that reason alone, I knew they constantly fought over their inability to make time for one another.

“It's not healthy for you to keep going back to her. If she can't make time for you, then she isn't the one. But you have to stop letting her string you along. I know you love her and it's hard to accept that it's not meant to be, but you deserve somebody that will make compromises instead of just breaking up with you when things don't go their way.”

I smiled softly to myself, proud of how far she had come. In the roughly six months since we met, (Name) had broken out of the shell her past abusive relationship and upbringing had caged her in. Now she was unapologetically herself and it made me love her even harder.

“I know, Aniki, but it'll be alright. Giyuu and I are here for you. Can you give Iggy the phone?” She asked gently and I could hear the scarred male yelling for the Zoology major.

“Hey Iggy, I need you to temporarily block Kanae on Nemi’s phone. They broke up again and he needs time to calm down before they talk again. You know how he is.” (Name) explains and she nods at whatever his response was.
“Alright, bring the boys over in the morning for breakfast. We all need to be there to support him and we all know he's going to have a bitch of a hangover when he wakes up. Night Iggs.”

Morning came quickly and I was thankful for the weekend. My beautiful girlfriend was dancing in the kitchen, softly singing along to Hotel California as it played in the background. She was whipping up breakfast for five grown men and the whole dorm smelled of waffles and bacon.

It was relaxing to watch her flitting back and forth between pans and the waffle maker. She had a bowl of batter in one arm and a spatula in the other. The (Hair Color) haired woman never ceased to amaze me as she easily flipped pancakes and also poured scoops of batter into the waffle iron.

Platters overflowing with both waffles and pancakes were on the table. When they were done, she placed the empty bowl in the sink. She cracked eggs with one hand while grabbing tongs to flip the bacon in the other. Bread was deposited into the toaster and drinks were poured. I couldn't help but smile as I watched her. She's going to make a great wife someday and I felt myself falling deeper in love with her with every pop of the toaster.

By the time her feast was laid out on the table, I couldn't help but let out a low whistle of admiration. Mountains of scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns sat beside the towering plates of waffles and pancakes. (Name) must've gone through a whole loaf of bread to make toast as she sat the last plate on the table. But she wasn't done yet, now headed to the refrigerator to grab things like butter and jams.

The (Preferred Major) student set the table, placing glasses and silverware down for everyone. I would help but she had already banned me from stepping into her domain. Sugar, syrup, peanut butter and honey were all situated in the center of the table next to the jam and butter.

“I need to shower, you mind letting everyone in while I get ready? Make sure Aniki takes the pain meds I put on the counter.” (Name) murmurs, grabbing her clothing for the day and giving me a quick kiss.
“Of course baby doll, enjoy your shower.”

I didn't have to wait long for the calvary to arrive. Rengoku and Uzui eagerly settled in at the table after I let them in. Not without Tengen clapping me on the back with a smirk and Kyojuro giving me a bear hug. I don't bother locking the door, knowing Sanemi and Iguro would just barge in anyway.

It never ceased to amaze me how (Name) managed to somehow make herself at home with my ‘friends’. Before I met her, I would've never imagined having the feeling of belonging I have now. Sure, I had known these people most of my life but I had kept them at arm's length for a majority of our friendship. So having Rengoku hugging me, Uzui patting my back, Iguro not even bullying me and Shinazugawa warming up to me was all very new. But I liked it, strangely enough.

“Morning Tomioka, where's the extravagant (Last Name)?” Uzui asks.
“The food smells so good!” Rengoku nearly cries, his carnelian eyes lighting up as he takes in the feast in front of him.
“She's in the shower.” I explain as the door bursts open.

I look over and see Iguro practically dragging Shinazugawa through the front door. The scarred man was still wobbling as he walked. From my spot in the kitchen I could tell he was still drunk, nowhere close to sobering up. But he looked like absolute shit. I quickly grab one of the glasses and fill it with water while grabbing the medicine (Name) had left out for him. Iguro dumps the drunken male on the couch and I rush over to him.

“Shinazugawa, (Name) told me to give you this.” I explain, kneeling beside him and keeping my voice low.
“Imōto?” He slurs and I sigh.
“Yeah, so take these and drink this.” I encourage, placing the two painkillers in his hand.

He doesn't hesitate to dry swallow them and I had to suppress the urge to gag at his actions. Sanemi gulped down the water and closed his eyes. They were bloodshot and he had bags under his eyes. Dude looked like on the verge of breaking down. We've never been close but even I felt worried about the hot-headed man.

I debated on joining the three men at the dining table but felt the need to sit down with Sanemi. So, with a deep breath, I sat down near his head. I didn't expect him to open his eyes and look at me in confusion.

“What you doin’?” He hiccups out as he lifts his head and I give him a tight smile.
“Sitting with you.”
“Why?” The pale haired male asks and I roll my eyes.
“Cuz you're my friend, dumbass.”
“Hmph.” Shinazugawa grunts, resting his head on my leg, as if keeping it raised to look at me was too much effort.

I didn't mind it, he always has been a clingy drunk and even if he's sobering up, I wasn't going to be an ass to him. So, we just stayed like that until (Name) came back from her shower.
