She really thought she'd get to sleep in on the first day of summer break after acing U.A's grueling final exams.
She thought wrong.
"Sana," a hushed voice hissed, accompanied by light tapping on her cheek."Wake up! There's a very handsome hero waiting for you downstairs."
"Wha-?" In the teenager's half conscious state, her first thought of who it could be was Hawks. It didn't make sense to her either, but she still shot upright with a gasp. Umi flinched back, clutching her heart in surprise as Sana nearly tripped over herself racing out the door. "I'm here...!" her excited shout died in her throat when she met eyes with her homeroom teacher instead. "Oh."
A clean shaven Mr. Aizawa was out of costume for once, dressed casually in a black sweater and dark pants. His long raven curls were gathered in a bun at the nape of his neck. Sana blinked, her sleep-addled brain still trying to process what her eyes were seeing. Aizawa. In her living room. During summer break. This should be fun. Her teacher was admittedly handsome when he put effort into his appearance. She was suddenly very aware of the fact that she was wearing polka dot pajamas and the braid she fell asleep in was probably frizzy.
Sana squinted her eyes in suspicion. "Am I having that dream again?" She mumbled to herself, though Aizawa still caught it somehow if the withering look he was now giving her was anything to go by.
"Please don't dream about me, Sakano. It's disturbing." Not a dream, then. Damn.
"Right," she winced. "Sorry, sir."
Sana forced herself to join him in the living room, sitting on the couch across from him. On the table was a tray with little sweets and hot tea. A steaming, half-drunk mug sat in front of him. She tapped her thigh with her fingers anxiously, spotting Umi spying on them from the foot of the stairs. The silence was incredibly awkward, though her teacher didn't seem effected at all. He just sipped his tea, sniffing one of the biscuits on the tray before putting it back. "May I ask why you're here, sir?" The strawberry blonde finally cracked. "Did I forget to turn in an assignment or something?"
Aizawa set his mug down on the table. "I actually have some homework for you to work on over the break."
Sana hoped he couldn't read the annoyance on her face as she continued to nod and smile politely. "Is that so?"
He hummed, regarding her with amusement. "Don't worry. You won't be graded-"
She sighed in relief, her shoulders slumping. "Oh, thank God." The solar girl couldn't imagine what kind of extracurricular a sadistic teacher like Aizawa would assign. He cleared his throat, his eyes flashing red in irritation. Sana sat straighter, feeling like she was being scolded. "Sorry," she coughed. "Go on."
"As I was saying," he arched a brow with crossed arms. "I would like to use this time off to push the boundaries of your quirk. Test your limits and expand them if possible."
