"Thank you for meeting with me, Your Highness," Hux smirks at the monarch currently leaning against the hallway with her husband's escorts not too far away from her. Lost in thought and picking at her long, dark nails, Xiia barely acknowledges the general. Her head has been filled with the image of Kylo Ren exiting the training room. She hadn't seen him in a full day now. It wouldn't be considered strange due to the fact that he is a new character in this game of war, but since the day that his army touched down on Dioya, the Supreme Leader made it a habit to have some sort of contact with the queen at least once a day.

His absence is starting to bother her.

When she received the transmission that someone needed her presence in the control room of the Destroyer, her heartbeat picked up.

She was sorely disappointed when General Hux opened the steel doors. "Next time, don't keep me waiting."

Kicking herself off of the wall, she flicks a hand to the two Knights of Ren beside her. They immediately freeze, but she could sense their disdain without needing to be Force-sensitive.

Entering the large room, Xiia couldn't help but wonder where her husband was hiding himself. He did not sleep in their shared chambers the night before. She could assume that he slept in the guest quarters if he saw it fit.

I didn't know he could be such a coward.

           ...

But, then what would I have done?

Would she have scolded him for ignoring her like a besotted lover?

"I apologize, Your Majesty, but I had to wait until the Supreme Leader was no longer occupied," Hux motions to the far wall of the control room, where a dark shadow looms in the corner.

Before she could stop herself, she lets her emotions seep through the Force.

In an instant, Kylo Ren felt it: Relief.

Brows creasing underneath the mask, he shifts towards the pulling energy on the other side of the room.

"We have found the High Admiral."

Xiia peels her gaze off the glinting helmet and at the General beside her, "Where?"

"He's in another Chiss occupation. The base is not secure, but it was the closest planet that they could inhabit while gathering their troops," Hux smirks, as if he did all of the heavy lifting rather than supervising.

          "What is our next move?"

"We destroy them," Kylo says out of nowhere, making Xiia flinch.

Turning to fully face the Supreme Leader, she speaks monotonously, "We kill Thrawn and we will be done with this."

The matter-of-factness in her voice cuts Kylo, but he covers it up quickly, "Alright. Then, let us be done with this."

Coincidentally, his words cut her as well.

Sensing the finality in the conversation, Xiia huffs and starts to exit the room.

"You will fight alongside me and my knights."

She pauses and slightly squints at the Supreme Leader, "Excuse me?" Almost on instinct, she lets her power leak through the Force.
