Chapter 17

Alana handed him a cup of black tea.

"Thank you Mr. Vinci for introducing us to the house, we lived very comfortably."

Finch absentmindedly took the teacup and asked in a low voice, "Haven't you encountered any strange phenomena?"

Alana shook her head, Miss Female Ghost can be called empathetic and knowledgeable, "No, everything is normal."

Finch felt that this black tea was extremely bitter, and at least a large spoonful of sugar should be added, "Actually, I included a new house on Andy Street the day before yesterday, with a good location and a low price." If you don't live well......"

"No, we love it here."

"Yes, yes? Then I'll be relieved," Finch reluctantly swallowed the typed draft and poured two sips of black tea.

This girl is young, but she is an assertive person. Just persuaded so painlessly, she definitely did not agree to quit the rent.

Fortunately, he came prepared today!

After a few small talks, Finch put down his teacup, "Can you borrow a restroom?"

"Of course."

Finch got up, felt his way to the bathroom, closed the door, and turned on the faucet to make a noise. Then he took out a palm-sized flask from his bosom and unscrewed the bottle.

The smell of rusty blood came to my face.

This is the blood of the ox that he had prepared before he came. He didn't believe that the three children were really not afraid of ghosts, they just didn't happen to meet them. So, he played a ghost for them to see!

He sprinkled ox blood on the washbasin and cuffs and took the jug into his pocket. He grinned in the mirror for a while, adjusted his expression of "horror", and then let out a heart-rending scream.

"Hell, there's a ghost—"

Finch crawled back into the living room, sat on the floor and shivered and pointed in the direction of the bathroom, "It's her!" It's Miss Belinda, the former owner of the house! The

two children heard the sound and ran out.

Theodore grabbed Alanna's hand, "Don't be afraid, sister, Theodore protects you!"

Lizzie grabbed a fireplace stick and looked wary, "What? Where are the ghosts?

Finch was suddenly stuck, and he couldn't go on.

Hey, no, you don't play according to the routine? Shouldn't a normal child scream and cry when he hears a ghost?

How did he get the biggest reaction?

The corners of Alanna's mouth turned up, she lowered her head and kissed Theodore's hair, and put her arm around Liz's shoulder, "It's okay, it's just a misunderstanding." You go back to your room to study, and I'm here.

"Really?" Theodore clenched his fists and shook them, as if to say that he could punch a little female ghost.

"Well, don't worry."

Alana sent them back and closed the door.

Finch quickly sorted out his emotions and looked ashamed, "I'm sorry, I just lost my temper and scared the two children." I've never seen ...... before," he paused, and then stopped.

Alanna consciously cheered: "What do you see?

Finch flinched, as if basking in some terrible memory.

"I was just washing my hands and when I looked up, I saw Ms. Belinda. Her face was fierce, her eyes were bloody and tearful, her skin was as white as lime, and her nails were sharp and long.

"Then the water from the faucet turned red, like blood."

Alana suddenly wanted to laugh.

I have to say that Finch has a talent for telling ghost stories. If it weren't for the fact that she had already seen Belinda last night, I am afraid that this would have started to grow in her heart.

Knock knock - the familiar knock on the door.

Finch was completely unresponsive, because it wasn't a real voice, but a spiritual fluctuation.

In the next second, Belinda appeared through the door, dressed like the night before.

She straightened her chest and crossed her waist: "He's lying!" I didn't show up in the mirror! There was absolutely no blood!

This real estate agent is really a black-hearted guy who slanders her like this!

She had only promised Alanna last night that she would not disturb her and her two children, so how could she do something deliberately scary? Is she dying?!

Thinking of this, Belinda rolled up her sleeves and wanted to kick Finch away.

The ghost collision was originally serious and terrifying. But right now, people and ghosts are arguing in the air, and the picture is inexplicably funny.

Alana threw Belinda a "don't be impatient" look, pretending to be surprised, "I thought that lady's ghost had dissipated, but I didn't expect it to be still there?"

Finch wiped the thin sweat from his forehead and looked serious, "Miss Alana, this place is too dangerous for you and your two children to live in!" Allow me to reintroduce you to a house.

Alanna grimaced, "But my kids and I love it, and we can't afford the higher rent."

Finch was secretly anxious, when is it, you are still worried about the rent? Isn't it important to save your life?

He thought for a moment and seemed to have made up his mind about everything, "Generally speaking, you will lose three months' rent if you break the contract and quit the lease, but considering your special situation, I will only charge you half a month's rent.

"I've also found a new house for you, and it's on Andy Street."

Belinda staggered to his side, her face full of contempt, "Does this self-proclaimed clever guy really think that everyone else is a fool?" Why don't I show up and scare him?

Alana thought for a moment and shook her head.

Mr. Finch looked cowardly. If you are really scared, you can leave a psychological shadow on the children and neighbors if you cry wolf all the way out.

And the situation is clearly in her favor, the possibility of a rollover is close to none, and she is looking forward to what will happen next.

Abbreviation, theater mentality.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I won't quit the lease."

Finch was stunned, he didn't expect her to be so resolute.

Thinking back to what had happened since he entered the house, he slowly realized that the girl in front of him, who had just come of age, had already seen through the secrets of the house.

She knew what he had in mind from the beginning, and even guessed that he was acting all today.

Therefore, no matter how he induces and persuades, she will never spit out the meat that she eats in her mouth.

Thinking about this, a tooth-aching sense of embarrassment came over him.

However, coming out to do business, being thick-skinned is the basic skill, and Finch did not hesitate and prepared to carry out the second set of plans. Yes, he also brought a helper over today.

"Let's be honest with you. There was a great client who took a fancy to this house and asked me to do everything I could to get you out of the rent.

"Awesome customer?" Alana asked.

"Believe him a ghost, oh no, ghosts don't believe it!" Belinda rolled her eyes, "It must have been made up to save respect."

Finch's theatrical talent is top-notch, and he immediately enters a state of bitterness, "A Lord Night Watchman." You know, we ordinary people can't disobey such transcendental beings.

"Poof, hahaha...... No, he's so funny," Belinda laughed like this for the first time since she turned into a ghost, "I know he's a casual excuse, but haha......"

Alanna almost couldn't hold back her expression, and the words she was about to answer were swept away by the demonic laughter in her ears.

Seeing that she was silent, Finch thought there was a play, so he struck while the iron was hot, "You have just arrived in Yorktown, and you may not know the Night Watchman. It is an organization of transcendent beings alongside the four orthodox churches.

"They are closer to the ruling government than the Big Four. All it takes is a word from the Night Watchman, and you'll be in the prison of the law enforcement team!

"Really?" Alanna was skeptical. After all, from what she's observed, the Night Watchmen are a disciplined team.

Finch knew that it wasn't enough, he had to be seen with his own eyes, "That lord is downstairs, you can come with me."

Belinda looked at Alanna in surprise, could it be that there was really a "colleague" who also had a crush on this house? It seems a bit awkward.

After going downstairs, Finch entered a café across the street and quickly led a tall man in a suit and leather shoes out. Those who are familiar with Finch will recognize it at a glance, it is his drinking buddy Bill.

"Do you know?" Belinda approached Alanna and asked softly.

"I don't know." At least at the night watchman rookie assessment site that day, there was no such person. However, whether he was a night watchman or not, Alanna was not intimidated at all.

Finch respectfully introduced, "This is Lord Bill, the Night Watchman, and he has a crush on this house.

"Ahem," Bill straightened up, ready to start speaking harshly, but his top hat froze in mid-air as his gaze touched Alana's face.

The air was suddenly quiet.

In the middle of the night, Finch looked at Bill in confusion and nudged his back with his elbow.

The stage is set up for you, but you can speak! I can't do it alone!

Bill didn't care how anxious Finch was, he thought he might have made a big mistake!

In order to play the role of a "high-quality person", he bought a daily night watchman in the morning and sat in a café while reading and waiting.

Then I saw the face of the girl in front of me on the front page.

The Strongest Newcomer in the History of the Yorktown Night Watchman! "

Throwing a Thousand Dollars: The Showdown of the Year Between the Two Captains!" A

rural girl from Hamm defeats a sought-after winner to become the new Winter Night Watchman. This kind of extremely dramatic story made him find it very interesting.

But now, he doesn't think it's all that interesting.

"Mr. Bill?" Alana didn't wait for the man to speak, and reminded him.

"Ha, haha," Bill wiped the sweat from his forehead, "Good day, Miss, just call me Bill."

Finch: "......"

Belinda: "......"

"Ahem-" Finch cleared his throat and tried to bring the uncontrolled wild horse back, "Mr. Bill, you are so kind. Aren't you here today for rent, though?

Scripted! Don't add drama to yourself here!

Bill didn't even give him a look, he just wanted to pull back from the precipice, "Misunderstanding! Definitely a misunderstanding! I didn't want to rent at all. I'm afraid this Mr. Finch is mistaken.

As soon as Finch heard that the other party had dissociated himself from him, he was directly confused. How did this play go off the rails?

Alanna's gaze swept over the newspaper tucked under Bill's armpit, and she instantly understood.

This man wasn't really a night watchman, but Finch had come here to make up for it, and was ready to stop picking it for now.

"Well, I'm waiting for me to go back for lunch, so I won't stay longer," Bill stepped back.

"Wait, wait," Finch grabbed his arm and lowered his voice, "Bill, what's wrong with you?"

Bill's eyes widened and he tilted his head like a cramp in his neck, suggesting that he should retreat.

Do you know what it means to be a night watchman? If you don't get caught, forget it, impersonating in front of the parties, what's the difference between that and going to the police station to rob!

Finch, of course, couldn't read his informative eyes, and only thought that the house he was about to get his hands on was about to fly again.
