Chapter 7

This thump is brain supplement, after all, she has no substance.

Belinda covered her forehead and began to think seriously for the first time in her career as a female ghost. She's a revenant now, disembodied, right? Just went upstairs and passed through the door on the second floor?

So what's going on now? Spirituality falling off too quickly? Or is there something wrong with this one?

She slowly reached out and touched the door. This is not the real touch of the door, but rather like an invisible barrier, and it is even a little soft to press.

Belinda herself is a witch and has a lot of knowledge, but this thing in front of her touches her blind spot.

She did not believe in evil and ran to one of the second bedrooms. This time, she was bolder than before, thinking that she might be able to swoop through with a swoop if she increased her speed.

Bang –

Two seconds later, Belinda is lying on the ground, suspicious of the ghost.

The problem must be with the new occupants, but what strength and occupation can cause this effect? Could it be that there is a demigod wandering among the people? It's ridiculous too.

At this moment, some small grinding sound caught her attention.

Belinda turned her head to find a woven cat nest by the fireplace, covered with a thick gray flannel blanket, and a pitch-black cat lying on her stomach.

It turns out that there are living creatures in the living room!

What a mistake for a new tenant. Cats are spiritual and can see things that normal humans can't. The last time the tenant's cat saw her and howled three nights in a row.

Belinda smiled wickedly and floated to the cat's nest and crouched down.

Bu Bai lifted one eyelid, paused for a second, then yawned and closed his eyes. Arched in the blanket and slept.

Belinda froze.

Hey, it's a haunted house! Haunted house!! Her dignity as a female ghost!!

......

As the morning bell rings, the Soth family celebrates their first day in Yorktown.

"Bells!" Theodore jumped out of bed and put on his shoes and ran to knock on Liz's door, "Liz, did you hear that?" Get up!

Liz rubbed her eyes and curled the corners of her mouth as well.

The Magic Clock Tower in the middle of York City is its landmark and a highlight of the lives of the city's residents. Once upon a time in Hammtown, they didn't have a clock tower, only a window knocker who called the maid to get up.

"Good morning," Alana was preparing breakfast.

The various shapes of bread, strawberries and blueberry jam on the table were brought from the town of Hamm. Some of them were sent to Gauss's house by the residents of Das Village, and some were specially made by the Gauss family in the kitchen.

Liz and Theodore got dressed and came to the table, "Good morning."

"The first day of school is December 1st, so you have two weeks off from school. I'm going to go on a trip to the Night Watcher, do you want to go together, or do you want to rest at home?

"Let's go!" Theodore and Liz spoke in unison.

"Okay," Alanna is not worried about the two children being alone in the "haunted house".

The Night Watchman building is on the west side of York College, a 25-minute walk from Kappa Street. In the morning, the streets are bustling with workers and students, and vendors and newsboys shouting and shouting.

When Alana arrived, she settled the children on a bench on the side of the hall and walked to the front desk to line up.

"Who are you looking for?" The reception girl glanced at her and asked lazily.

"I'm here to take the Night Watchman's Exam," she said, as she prepared to hand over the letter of recommendation in her arms.

"Today?" The girl frowned, "But the candidates from all departments have been reported, and you are late."

"Huh?" Alana didn't understand.

With the girl's explanation, Alana figured out the mechanics of the Night Watchman's selection.

The Yorktown Night Watchmen organize a total of twelve squads, each with five to ten members, who independently carry out tasks and receive rewards and punishments.

Of course, every squad wants as many people as possible, after all, the salary is paid by the organization. However, in order to keep the staff down, the Night Watchman only holds a rookie selection twice a year, recruiting one person at a time.

Each team has the right to nominate one candidate, and twelve candidates participate in the assessment together, and the winner is successfully hired.

Because of this, each team will continue to search for talents and resolutely reject all related households.

Alana couldn't help but be disappointed. She had already reached Yorktown as fast as she could, but she didn't expect to be one step too late.

She didn't give up and asked, "Is there a team that hasn't been reported yet?" Or is there a change in the candidates?
