TUESDAY, WEEK 4

Felix unlocks the door to their apartment and ushers his cousin inside. She skips over to her room to put away her bag, while Felix shrugs off his coat and hangs it up.

"Hey, Lizzie! What do you want for dinner tonight?" He asks as he makes his way to the kitchen.

Her small voice rings out from her room. "Can we have pizza tonight?" She calls out eagerly. Felix chuckles and yells back, "We had pizza 2 days ago. How about we try something healthier today?"

Elizabeth sighs dramatically and stomps out of her room, pouting. "Fine. Okay, then how about spaghetti and meatballs?"

Felix grins and shakes his head. "That's not much healthier, kiddo. Think again."

She lets out a groan and plops down on the couch in the living room. "Ugh, why can't we just have pizza again? It's so good!" The male laughs lightly, walking over from the kitchen and ruffling her brown locks softly, "I know it's delicious, but we need to eat a balanced diet. No more pizza tonight."

His sentence makes her cross her arms and frown. "Okay, then what can we have?" She asks, her voice sounding a little defeated.

Felix pauses for a moment, thinking. "How about I make some grilled chicken and vegetable skewers with rice for us?"

"Oh?" Her ears perk up a little at the mention of grilled meat, wondering if that is a good alternative. "That sounds yummy..." She speaks, though her tone still sounds a bit reluctant to give up her pizza craving.

"Yeah, it'll be yummy, I promise. And it'll be a lot healthier for us than pizza." The older one assures, clearly wanting his younger cousin to lead a healthy life while not making his aunt worry over her daughter's diet.

Soon enough, the male stands at the kitchen counter, starting to chop vegetables for the skewers. His mind unconsciously drifts to thoughts of that one, fellow university student again despite his best efforts to push them away. He feels a little embarrassed at how much he's been thinking about her despite only knowing her for 2 days with minimal talking.

"Heck. Why am I thinking about her so much?" He mutters to himself, shaking his head as he slices a carrot. It's not like I know her that well. It's probably just because she's so damn easy to talk to and makes me feel all weird inside.

Felix sighs as he continues chopping the vegetables, lost in thought. He can't shake the feeling that he's strangely drawn to Eugene and can't quite figure out why. It could be her striking beauty, her voice that seems to soothe all his worries, or her patient and loving demeanour towards the children. Whatever it is, he can't deny that she has some kind of hold over him.

This is so weird.

He tries once again to push her out of his head, but she stubbornly remains there, occupying his every thought. Maybe she just feels like a breath of fresh air after being surrounded by his toxic internship environment.

That must be it, he thinks. There's no other reason why she would linger in his mind so stubbornly. Right?

"Lixie!"

Felix is jolted out of his thoughts by his cousin's tug on his pants. He looks down to see her standing next to him. "Hey kiddo," He says with a smile, putting down his cutting knife for a while. "What's up?"

Elizabeth looks up at him with pleading eyes. "Can we play dress up after dinner?" She asks, her voice eager. "I can be Anna and you can be Elsa!"

"..." He chuckles, finding the idea rather interesting. For some reason, he is able to envision himself dressing up as Elsa, though, he isn't sure how her dress can fit him.
