Hello chat! (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) .ᐟ.ᐟ
I'm excited to announce that character slots are now open for my new applyfic, The Hymn of Hypnos. This story occurs in the same universe as As if the Stars Had Aligned, where the champions of Hypnos—your characters!—set off on quests to restore balance to the pantheon after the fall of Olympus. If anyone would like to know more, here is a preview of all the prepared quests so far:

─── ・ 。゚☆ FIRST QUEST: THE CURSE OF ECHO .

Echo was an Oreiad-nymph of Mount Kithairon in Boiotia, a winged nymph with her face shrouded in a veil. Beloved for her enchanting voice and her gift for mimicking any sound, she captivated those who heard her. Tragically, her fate was sealed when she drew the ire of the goddess Hera, cursed to forever repeat only the last words spoken to her as punishment for distracting the goddess from Zeus's affairs with her ceaseless chatter.

The beautiful nymph became a creature enslaved by her own voice, neither able to speak before anybody else has spoken nor to be silent when somebody else has spoken.

Echo, consumed by grief and loss, faded into nothing more than a distant voice, heard through caves and mountains but never seen, forever haunting the world with her lonely, mournful cries.

But that will end now, for Lord Hypnos has dreamt it so.

For the first quest, the chosen champions will travel to Mount Kithairon; there, they will search for a way to free Echo from her curse, allowing the nymph to finally find peace and liberation from her tragic fate. Challenges will test the heroes as they navigate through treacherous mountains of Boiotia; their path is fraught with monsters, ancient curses that scarred the land, and, perhaps most challenging of all, Hera's cows!

─── ・ 。゚☆ FUTURE QUESTS .

· Las Vegas, Casinos, & The Lost Dice of Tyche
Winning in Las Vegas? That's easy. The real problem starts when you win too much. Some clueless mortal managed to snag Tyche's enchanted dice, and after hitting one jackpot too many, he's been blacklisted from just about every casino on the Strip. But 95% of gamblers quit before they win big, right? So he thought he'd test his luck in some sketchy underground gambling dens. Bad call. He's stumbled straight into Nevada's supernatural underbelly, and while his winning streak hasn't fizzled out yet, the powers-that-be aren't thrilled to be beaten by a mortal. Pissed-off gods, stacks of gold coins he can't even cash in, and a furious tall Leprechaun hot on his heels screaming something about his mother isn't exactly the jackpot he had in mind. But hey, that's Vegas, baby!

· Iris, Eros, & the Problem of the Missing Color
Iris is having a meltdown: Orange has completely vanished from every rainbow, and the goddess is not handling it well. In a full-on panic, she calls on the heroes for help. Turns out, Orange didn't just disappear; it's fallen head over heels for Eros, spending all its time pining after the god of love. Which would've been fine, but here's the thing: rainbows need every color to shine, and without Orange, the world loses its vibrancy. Yeah, it's a cute love story and all, but someone's gotta save the rainbows!

· Percy Jackson & the Quest for the Perfect Gift
December has rolled in, and for Percy, it means the most stressful time of the year is here: gift shopping. Finding a present for his mom? That's a tough one, but he can handle it. Choosing something for Nico? Piece of cake, as long as it's soft and fluffy. But like every single year, the same thing stumps him—what on earth to get Micah. Because it's not just Christmas; it's also Micah's birthday, and no pressure, but no one deserves the World's Greatest Gift more than his boyfriend. Percy's about to face his toughest quest yet, and this time, it's personal.

· Micah, Ungrateful Brothers, & The Village Cursed With Sleep Paralysis
Phantasos has fallen in love—again. And, as usual, it didn't end well. A small village in Latin America is paying the price for his heartbreak, cursed with a never-ending cycle of sleep paralysis. Every single one of the 2,000 residents wake up from horrific nightmares, only to be frozen in place for hours, trapped between sleep and waking. The heroes of Hypnos are called in to save the day, but Phantasos is a trickster, and when he wants to play, he doesn't hold back. Enter Micah: the best and worst thing to happen to this quest. Now they're stuck dealing with ungrateful brothers, eerie hallucinations, feral cats running wild, and life-threatening schemes that only the children of Hypnos could dream up. It's going to be a very long night.

· The Missing Sword of the Boogeyman
It's not that Hypnos forgot about his personal weapon; it's just that with everything that went down that night and the months spent looking after his son, he figured he had more time to retrieve his sword from the scorched ruins of Olympus. How was he supposed to know it would vanish? Who even hangs around those ruins, anyway?!

At least nobody with bad intentions take it, right?

Right?
