She walks in daylight, smiles in ease, With eyes like mirrors, catching the breeze. To all, she's plain—just like the rest, But shadows linger in her chest.
A demon dances in her veins, A silent specter, crafting chains. She knows too well the mask she wears, And bears the weight of secret snares.
It's not a beast with claws and fangs, But whispers sharp, like hidden pangs. It feeds on lies, on small deceits, On every vow she fails to keep.
But fear binds tighter than the sin, She'll never let the truth break in. For who would hear her wordless cry, Who'd see the demon lurking by?
Then came a priest, with eyes so clear, A voice that stilled her restless fear. He didn't ask, he didn't press, Yet saw the chaos in her chest.
He knelt beside her, kind but stern, And with a prayer, the tide did turn. He called the demon by its name, And spoke the words that broke its claim.
The habits clung, but loosed their hold, And in his warmth, her heart grew bold. But something deeper took its place, A love she could not dare embrace.
For he, with grace, was heaven's own, A guide, a flame, she'd never know. She watched him leave, her heart in chains, Bound not by sin, but love's sweet pains.
And though the demon's grasp had gone, Her silent love still lingered on. A secret vow, forever kept, In dreams of him, her heart still wept.
Note : In this poem the girl is said to be possessed by a demon , but symbolically the demon is not actually an evil being but a symbol for her bad habits and that's the reason why no one except her can see it until a priest , who symbolises for someone with high self-actualisation was able to help her come out of it.
Many times we may appear to be completely fine or normal but a demon (bad habit) constantly lures us down the wrong path. At times like this we need the guidance of someone who can help us get rid of this bad demon inside us and lead us down the right path of life .
Hope y'all liked this poem and as always I hope to see how y'all would interpret this poem! Have a great day/night :)
