She sits in the silence, on her bed so still,
Gazing through the window, over the hill.
The sky is heavy, with dusk on its brow,
A weight in her chest, she ponders how.How she once worried, over marks and degrees,
Striving for a future, to live with ease.
Her mind once tangled in dreams of a job,
A path of success, away from the mob.She longed to earn, to rise and to thrive,
To give her parents the world, while still alive.
To change the system, to make it right,
To be the spark in a never-ending fight. But now, as the world falters and bends,
She sees how those worries, they all were pretend.
For in the face of this ending so near,
What use are luxuries, success, or fear? The horizon crumbles, the sky turns gray,
All that she fought for is fading away.
Her heart grows quiet, her mind is still,
The weight of existence, the ultimate thrill. And so she sits, in her final hour,
The world once vast, now losing its power.
She sees the truth in the dying light,
All that we chase, fades into the night. No more the pressure, no more the race,
She finds her peace in this fragile space.
For when the end comes, what truly remains,
Is the love we gave, and the heart's quiet pains.
This poem is actually very simple to understand/interpret , it's how we spend so much time just thinking about the future and forget to enjoy everyday . By the time we realise that all these desires and wishes are temporary , it's always too late and we probably have to leave and all we can do is look back thinking how things could have been different...and maybe more happier and better
Note: I am writing this 2hrs before my half yearly phy exam , this is to tell all of yall that don't worry if nothing is going right , life isn't about how perfect we are or we can become but about how much we live today...to the fullest happy with whatever we have now.Sometimes to achieve things for the future we lose more beautiful things that we had today.
