Kingdom of Maurice, Alsenton

In a royal meeting room within the Royal Palace, King Damian VIII held a handwritten letter from the Regent of the Empire of Elysia, the man temporarily responsible for the Empire. The letter offered aid, which essentially translated to declaring war on the Tiăn Empire. Due to Tiănese 'attempts' at attacking Elysia's border city of Avinérian, Elysia took the initiative to preemptively strike the invading army, with the support of the Elysian Senate, and had already entered Maurician borders.

"This is wonderful news!" the King joyfully exclaimed, his smile stretching from ear to ear, as if it was the happiest day of his life. However, something inside him was troubling.

The King had expected Elysia's intervention on their side, knowing that Tiăn would eventually strike Elysia. However, he hadn't anticipated that Elysia would be aware of the attacking army so soon, or that they'd shockingly wipe out a twenty-thousand-strong Tiănese force in a single day. At first, he couldn't believe it, until reports confirmed that twenty-thousand Tiănese soldiers had gone missing. A witness had even claimed that powerful fiery explosions rocked the ground, annihilating the army with ease.

Moreover, King Damian hadn't consented to Elysian forces entering his territory without his approval. Doubts began to cloud his mind about Elysia's true intentions. His advisors had already warned him not to trust Elysia completely, but the benefits, pushing back the Tiănese invasion, had left a strong positive impression on the Maurician people and local lords near the Elysian border. So despite his reservations, he had no choice but to place his trust in Elysia, even if their army wouldn't cooperate fully with his own forces.

King Damian VIII's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the sudden banging of the door. He flinched, snapping his head toward the noise, only to see his daughter, Princess Emmeline Mendele, storming in. She wore a suit of armor, her long sword sheathed by her side, exuding both strength and excitement.

"Father!" Princess Emmeline called out loudly. "I just got incredible news! The Empire of Elysia has joined the fray!" Her eyes sparkled, her smile wide, almost as if she'd been given the finest treat.

The King let out a weary sigh as he shook his head, his gaze softening but burdened, "I'm afraid you won't be as involved as you think, my daughter," he said, his tone heavy.

Princess Emmeline's expression shifted from joy to confusion, her eyes widening in disbelief. "Whaaat?? Why not? We humans should be standing together to fight these invaders!" she protested loudly, her voice rising with the intensity of her conviction.

"The Elysians made it clear that their Imperial military won't cooperate with ours," the King explained, only deepening Princess Emmeline's confusion and frustration.

"Why!?" Princess Emmeline demanded, slamming both hands on the table. "We need to unite our forces to push back Tiăn!"

"They sent their army without my consent and have already pushed back Tiăn's forces that were attacking Elysia," King Damian VIII replied, intensifying Princess Emmeline's bewilderment.

"Wait, they already pushed back Tiăn!? They just joined the war-how could they have repelled them so quickly?" Princess Emmeline exclaimed.

"No, it happened just yesterday," the King continued. "In fact, Elysia dispatched their army just a few hours after Tiān's attempt to attack their borders, and they entered our territory without my consent." Princess Emmeline's eyes widened in shock, and anger began to flare.
