"What!? You refuse to cooperate with our forces in defending my kingdom's capital!?" Princess Emmeline shouted in fury at the bearded man standing before her, a seasoned figure in his late thirties.

Princess Emmeline had spent an entire day traveling to the magnificent city of Avinérian, a place that surpassed even the grandeur of Alsenton. It stood proudly near their borders, encircled by towering walls that seemed impenetrable, capable of withstanding thousands of cannonballs without crumbling. The city's skyline was marked by impossibly tall structures, and its streets were lined with strange metal carriages gliding along black, smooth roads, all moving with an eerie precision that suggested they were somehow coordinated automatically. She witnessed firsthand the wealth and power of Elysia, a nation that defied expectations by being a human one. But she wasn't there to marvel at its splendor; she had come with a mission-to secure cooperation. Yet her mission was spiraling into failure as she stood in front of General Xánuz Méthralus.

"Why would the Imperial Elysian Army defend your capital when my soldiers would be placed under your command?" General Méthralus responded, his voice steady, professional, and laced with a hint of ice.

"It's our capital, and I know its defenses better than your forces! I am a Princess of Maurice. I've heard of what your forces did to the Tiănese army, and I want them under my command!" Princess Emmeline retorted, her voice rising as she struggled to suppress her frustration.

General Méthralus shook his head. "This isn't how it works, Princess. We can't afford to risk unnecessary casualties among the Empire's Imperial army," he said, his tone firm but controlled.

Princess Emmeline's face flushed with anger. "Are you saying that I'm incapable just because I'm a woman!?" she snapped, her voice filled with outrage, unable to ignore the sting of perceived doubt aimed at her gender.

"In a way, yes. But the primary reason we won't let you command our forces is your youth and inexperience," General Méthralus replied calmly. "Besides, our methods of warfare differ greatly from yours."

Princess Emmeline slammed her fist on the table, but General Méthralus didn't flinch. "Why!?" she shouted, her frustration boiling over. "They're just soldiers! They're obligated to die in duty!" Her voice rose further. "For their families, for the women, the elderly, the children, for their comrades, their leaders, and the nation itself! They should be willing to die for their country, even in a foreign land! Their deaths won't be in vain if we succeed; they'll be honored regardless!" She continued her passionate tirade.
