FINN
My attention snaps to my office door as it bursts open, revealing a pissed looking Farhan.
“Can I help you?” I ask.
“Did you tell Faizan to ban tea in our building?” he asks, growing more annoyed, making his way towards my desk.
A smirk spreads across my face, “I may have,”
His jaw clenches as he stops across my desk.
He takes a deep breath then speaks, “there are two things you don’t mess with when it comes to me. My precious chai and my precious wife.”
“You don’t have a wife-”
“When I get my wife,”
I roll my eyes. I know very well that Farhan doesn’t like when anyone messes with his precious tea. That’s why I did it. Was it childish? For some people maybe, but these are the kind of threats we give.
“You’re overreacting,”
“The same as you,” Farhan says then takes his seat on the chair, “you’re obviously still hotheaded about what happened two nights ago,”
“What possessed you to say that we all liked someone?” I barely survived getting out of Bree’s investigation. I was scared if she asked one more question before I left, I would’ve spilled everything.
But judging by the way I reacted, if she keeps bugging on this topic, she may as well have figured it out.
My nightmare is becoming a reality.
“You’re overthinking this. I don’t think she figured it out,” Farhan says.
“And if she did?”
“Then ask her on a date. I don’t know.” He shrugs.
I grit my teeth.
He is so annoying.
If Bree finds out that I’ve been obsessed with her, she will freak. She will avoid me with her whole heart. We both will be awkward around each other. Ryan will investigate the awkward environment and beat the shit out of me.
If this isn’t enough to put me on edge, I received another email from a different user but with the same message again. I keep getting ideas to go confront my mother but I’d rather jump off a fucking cliff.
“Get out of my office,” I snap.
“You’re buying me breakfast,”
I frown, “says who?”
“Me. Now, get up.” He stands up, “or I’m telling Bree in clear words you’ve been obsessed with her the moment you laid your eyes on her.”
My jaw clenches, “You’re a pain,”
He grins, “I’m well aware.”
I get up from my seat and follow Farhan out of the building. I join him for breakfast and make sure to make it hell for him by bugging him at every minute. But he has the upper hand in threats so I’m forced to shut up and glare.
What could she be thinking?
