BREE
This is a bad idea.
And that’s coming from me. The queen of troublemaking.
The king is my brother.
Anyways, you know there is always a troublemaker in a friendship and a mother who makes sure her child doesn’t get into trouble.
I’m the child.
Rose is the mother.
But I don’t know what came on her tonight but she had a very troublemaking idea.
It even makes me panic.
I should've pushed harder and asked her about the ‘plan’ before I agreed to follow her. But then again, Rose stays out of trouble!
“Rose, we shouldn’t do this.” I say as Rose pulls out a bag from the backseat.
“Yes, we should. No one breaks my best friend’s heart and expects no harm in return.”
Okay, seriously, what has gotten into her?
I grab her arm and make her look at me, “it’s not worth it. Let’s just go.”
“He cheated on you, Bree. I am not letting that asshole live with his pride.”
“Shattering his car is too much. He loves that thing.”
“And I love you. He hurt you and I am not holding back.”
I suppress a groan as she walks towards Jay’s car.
We're right outside Jay's house. Luckily for Rose, Jay didn't park his car in the garage tonight. The roads are dark and empty but the moment Rose hits the car..
“Rose, go back to your motherly self. The one who hates getting in trouble.” I say.
“I will.” She takes out a metal rod from her bag, “After I’m done with this.” She raises the rod in the air before she swings it and hits the window with all her force.
Sirens from the car start blasting in the neighborhood.
I expect Rose to throw away the rod and run but that is not what happens.
Instead, she moves on to the next window.
“Oh, my God-“
“What is going on- hey!”
My body goes rigid when I spot Jay come out of his house, dressed in sweats. It shows that he ran out of bed.
My heart ties a knot when a brunette girl walks behind him, dressed in Jay’s sweatshirt which is big on her just like it was on me. Her straight hair falls on her shoulder as she watches Rose break Jay’s car windows and Jay yelling.
You’re the only one for me, babe.
My blood boils at his lie.
Better take this chance.
I grab another rod from the bag and join Rose in breaking his windshield, windows and denting his car.
Jay stops yelling as he runs into the house with his new girlfriend.
Our mischievousness come to a halt as a new siren sounds in the neighborhood.
Police.
Rose and I exchange a glance.
Uh-oh
ᯓᡣ𐭩
“So, who are we calling?” I ask as soon as the officer locks the metal door.
