Chapter 005:The beginning of a soldier's career.

"oh, my butt!" Hao Yi's miserable cry echoed on the small hill outside Sadra. He never dreamed that before he even formally donned the Federal Army uniform, he would be treated like this by the instructor.

At the foot of this small hill stood a military base resembling a steel fortress, an outpost of the Federation's Fifth Military District on the planet Aidil, temporarily used as a training base for new recruits. Hao Yi and a group of freshly enlisted recruits were transported here directly from Sadra City by armored personnel carriers driven by veterans. They were to undergo three months of basic training here before being assigned to various combat units in the Fifth Military District."Hao, I really can't run anymore!" Hu Erpang leaned against a rock beside the mountain path, panting heavily, his face full of pain.

Not far away, Hao Yi, equally covered in dust, was frantically slapping at the sparks on his butt. Both were still in their civilian clothes, not having had time to change into their training uniforms, with backpacks hanging crookedly around their necks. Hearing Hu Erpang's complaint, Hao Yi jumped up and furiously cursed, "Why don't you go and talk to that demon behind us yourself! "Kid, if you don't keep running, the next shot won't be so accurate! I wouldn't mind some roast pork for dinner!" The voice came from the loudspeaker on a Hellfire Assault Vehicle parked less than twenty meters away, making the two of them both angry and resentful.

The Hellfire Assault Vehicle is the most agile all-terrain assault vehicle in the Federal Army, equipped with an H31 thermal assault cannon and a J09 electromagnetic machine gun, operated by a two-man crew. The H31 thermal assault cannon eliminates enemies by ejecting a high-temperature metal stream with a unique scatter effect, capable of melting the protective armor of enemy infantry squads within range, turning them into crispy roast pork. Combined with the vehicle's highly agile maneuverability, it is very suitable for dealing with groups of lightly armed infantry on the battlefield.

These sergeants claimed to be the training instructors for the more than a hundred recruits, and the lists in their hands were the recruits randomly assigned to them by computer. Although it was said to be random, it seemed that the computer system of the military management had been infected with the human "laziness" virus, as Hao Yi, Hu Erpang, and a handsome guy named Yang Jianyi were all assigned to the same instructor. The new recruits were almost divided into six squads according to the order of their registration.

Soon, the new recruits of the other five squads were led into the camp to rest by their respective instructors. The instructor, who called himself Sergeant Stryker, ordered Hao Yi and the others to line up in the square and wait, then disappeared while humming a tune.

After standing under the scorching sun for more than ten minutes, the exhausted and hungry recruits began to fidget, not understanding what Sergeant Stryker was up to. Despite this, most of the recruits still remembered the instructor's order and stood obediently in their places."Damn, if we keep standing here, I'm going to be sun-dried like a mummy, how can I be a soldier like this?"
