I have finished judging. Hades is still working on Stitches, but we have gone over a big issue that arose and came to a decision.
There will be no ties for the first three places.
The rubric scores will give us the stories to choose from, but ultimately, we will choose the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners on what stories captured our attention when there are multiples with the same score.
The others will receive a Top Score award and sticker, while also getting the awards for third place.
At this time, I have a four-way tie for 1st place, and Stitches hasn't been scored yet.
I can not possibly state in words how proud I was that every author who entered (who did not pull out weeks before it ended) finished their stories! I expected five to seven, and instead, I had all twelve.
I am humbled that you all made my little contest a priority in your life.
