few days after
the funeral somehow went fine, hyungwon's brother was the chief mourner.
it was supposed to be rijeen but she was out of her own self. her body would start trembling and every now and then she was this close to loose her consciousness.
she could barely make difference between a day and night
she'd barely eat and talking? that's something as if she never did it before
she'd sit in silence and then suddenly she will burst out in tears. like a mad woman she'd cry until she couldn't breathe anymore
it was quite concerning. for her and for everyone
“sweetie would like to go on a walk with me?” hyungwon's mother asked her softly. she remained unfazed, as if she doesn't have any emotion,like a rock
“sweetie?” she gently nudged her by shoulder but she just stayed in her seat frozen
tears threatening to come out from his mother's eyes, but she tried her best to maintain her composure
“rijeen if you keep on doing this do you think my son would be happy to see you like this?” she asked her voice cracking slowly “you're the only memory of my son and you're so dear to me i don't wanna loose you too—” “he didn't died!” rijeen suddenly scoffed back at his mother
hyungwon's mom flinching by this sudden action “don't say he died we didn't even found his body” she looked at her with bloodshot eyes. “how can you call someone dead when you haven't even saw their corpse?!” she raised her voice
his mother silently whimpered while seeing rijeen speak like this
“rijeen…sweetie” she called her “i know it's hard but..” she stumbled upon her own words “we need to accept the truth” she cried more
“my son…hyungwon he isn't anymor—” “stop stop please stop it!!” rijeen screamed out loudly while covering her ears with her hands.
“whata wrong with all of you??? how can you all abandon him like this? do you not understand that we still haven't saw his corpse yet!! we can't say that he's dead!” she screamed
“sweetie..” she called her again “leave!” rijeen demanded “i don't want you here” she got up from her bed and pushed his mother out of her room forcefully , slamming the door loudly on her face
this is what going on these past few days, rijeen has completely became a mad woman, refusing to accept the truth
yet she'd cry everytime she gets reminded of hyungwon. yet she's in denial.
maybe that's the least thing rijeen expected from life. she never thought she has to live a life where she'd be left alone without her loved one.
it's almost as suffocating as something really tight tangled around her neck. suddenly without hyungwon her life feels so odd. she doesn't know happiness she doesn't know peace and most importantly she doesn't know life itself
as if she never knew anything and now she feels like a blind woman without her dictator
she lied in her bed, eyes wide open staring out the window while tear streams keep flowing
her eyes feels dry for crying this much, the skin on her cheeks starts burning from this salty water that keep soaking her soft cheeks, her lips feels like it's gonna crack open at any time
if anything that can bring her back to life is hyungwon, who himself lost his life.
“i keep telling them that you're not gone yet” she fidgeted with her finger on her ring “you better don't fail me” she cried some more
“you need to come back” her lips trembled “you can't break your promise like that” she kept staring out the window while fidgeting with her ring
on rijeens bday
both of the family decided to put on a facade of a happy family celebrating the birthday of their dearest daughter, rijeen
eventhough it hurts to be all smiley while someone of the family is not witj them anymore
but they should do anything in their power to bring her back to her own self
“whats my baby doing?” rijeen’s mom came inside her room along with hyungwon's mom
she was sitting at corner of the room staring at a blank space
both of the mother exchanged look with themselves, while trying to approach her again
“where is my daughter?” her dad entered the room with a small cake in his hand
“let's see” hyungwon's dad sat near rijeen “have it” he handed her the knife while her dad sat in front of her with the cake
she stared at them and then at the cake, as if she's pondering something
she looked back up at everyone, they looked at her with affectionate expression.
she kept on looking at them until everything turned black, she fainted
she was immediately taken to the hospital. and as expected she's truly too weak to even go on with a regular normal life. her vitals are low, her stress levels are extremely high.
for the meanwhile she was given some sleeping pills by the doctors, she needs to sleep for a while without any thoughts bothering her.
she needs to rest. properly.
