anticipation of coming back home to his love made his adrenaline rush crazily
he waited for his brother to come and pick him up
“chae” a man called hyungwon and he turned to look at the voice
its the voice of his batelion chief standing behind him with his hands inside his pocket
“sir” he stood up quickly and saluted at him standing in attention
“relax it's not needed i’m here to talk to you” he patted his shoulder
hyungwon chuckled lightly waiting for his chief to start speaking
“sit” chief said and sat where hyungwon was sitting earlier, hyungwon took a sit beside him
“you're finally going home” his chief nodded his head “i’m sorry i put you and your fiancee through this” he looked at hyungwon
“its nothing sir” hyungwon smiled “atleast it's over and we're all going home now” he replied
“look at you acting all nice” chief shifted in his seat to look at hyungwon properly
“but you were being so rebellious when the first time i told you that you have to stay here and announce the world that you're dead” his chief playfully slapped his shoulder
hyungwon chuckled reminiscing his actions
“you literally took 10-20 laps around the practice field in the rain and even refused to eat” his chief chuckled at him
hyungwon laughed along with his chief
“you love her that much huh?” his chief looked at him “i do” hyungwon replied looking down
“what's with the sad expression?” chief asked “i’m not sure how things will be when i’ll be back to her”
“why do you think so?” chief asked “because i’ve been told to my family that i was dead, it's been months and i don't know” hyungwon kept looking down
“you think that she'll find someone else?” chief asked him “no..” hyungwon dragged his words
“you love her right?” chief asked “if you truly love her then you don't have to worry about things like this” chief said
“i’m older than you both in age and experience” he kept on saying “true love always have the strength to find each other” he said
“you two may get separated by circumstances you two can fight you two can forget each other but no power is as strong as love” he explained
“dont worry things might be hard but if you and her are destined to be then nothing can stop you two” chief replied
“you need to brace yourself up she might be angry at you or upset at you, but you need to be strong, and go through everything to win her over” chief replied
“i’m ready for everything” he sighed “anything for her if it means to win her over” he replied
his chief fondly smiled at him
“she can be upset at me i deserve it” he chuckled “but i’ll bear everything i won't give up on her that easily” he replied
“sounds like you have a long way to go” chief chuckled
“hyung..” dawon said loudly as soon as he saw hyungwon waiting there for his brother
“dawon-ah” he smiled at him, his brother quickly closed the gap between them and give a bone crashing hug to his brother
“ahh that hurts” hyungwon chuckled “what's up with this hug” he says as soon as they pulled away
“do you have any idea what went through mom and dad?” dawon almost yelled at his brother “how could you do this to us?” dawon's eyes glistened with tears
“i know dawon-ah” hyungwon put his hand on dawon's shoulder “but trust me i didn't had any other options” hyungwon looked at him apologetically
“i'm sorry” hyungwon apolosiged to dawon “i really felt bad to put all of you through this” hyungwon sighed “i can't even imagine what rijeen went through” hyungwon said and dawon tensed at his words
“btw dawon-ah” hyungwon started and started looking behind dawon as if he's expecting someone “did you came alone?” he asked
“uhh yess why did…did you thought mom and dad will come along with me?” he chuckled nervously
“noo i thought rijeen would come with you” he smiled and looked down, letting out a big sigh “i guess she's still angry at me huh?” he asked dawon
dawon looked at his brother not sure how to tell him about this situation
“dawon-ah why do you look so tensed now?” hyungwon noticed the shift in his brothers expression
“is everything okay?” he asked, well hyungwon did suspected something by the phone call with his brother earlier but he's not sure what's going on
“youre getting quite everytime i'm asking you about rijeen” hyungwon inspected his brothers expression to make out something out of this situation
“tell me what's going on?” he's suspecting that there's something that dawon is hiding from him
“hyung.. eveything is fine i told you” dawon lied because he doesn't know how to bring this news to his brother
“chae dawon” hyungwon said firmly “i’m your brother you really expect me to buy your lies when you clearly look like you're hiding something” hyungwon replied
“tell me” hyungwon's voice serious now “i will tell you let's just go home—” “no” hyungwon demanded
“tell me right now or i’m not moving from here” hyungwon said ,dawon looks completely helpless
how is he supposed to tell this to hyungwon, why is he in a situation where he has to be the news bareer of this devastating news?
“dawon tell me” hyungwon ordered not moving his eyes from dawon
“hyung..” dawon started “rijeen—” “what happened to rijeen?” hyungwon suddenly got possesive after dawon mentioned rijeen
is she not okay? did something happened to her?
“rijeen was in an accident” dawon started spilling the news to hyungwon slowly, hyungwon listening to dawon carefully eventhough his heart crashed at the mention of rijeen being in an accident
“she's fine don't worry about that” dawon tried to smile at hyungwon “but?” hyungwon asked knowing there's more to know
“but…” dawon looked at hyungwon one last time
“rijeen lost her memory” he finally let the cat out of the bag “all of her memory…she doesn't recognises any of us” dawon looked down not being able to look at hyungwon
“she even forgot her own name” dawon's voice broke, he can't imagine what's going inside hyungwon's mind now
