“after observing her condition we really suggest that she should get admitted in a mental health clinic” the doctor said to rijeen's parents
“it's not like she's insane” he explained “she's just not doing fine mentally and she needs a counseling” he rephrased his words
“is it that bad?” her mother asked while crying, knowing very well that how badly her situation was worsening
it's just hard to accept the fact that as a parent you have to send your daughter to a mental health clinic
“mrs hong i understand what you're trying to say” the doctor replied “but you have to remember that the people who stays in the mental health clinic or who goes their are not insane” he said
“they just need some help” he explained “they just need someone to bring them back to how they used to be” he elaborated.
her dad nodded in agreement
“we tried to bring this topic to rijeen but she doesn't want to go their” the doctor replied “she's against it” he said
“as her parents you guys have to do something” he stated “you two have to convince her, it's for her own good” the doctor said with a sympathetic smile
both of her parents nodded in agreement. eventhough they know this is going to be a hard task
“but the doctor said—” “so you two also think that i'm crazy huh?” she scoffed at her dad
“no of course not baby” her dad started “it's just they're gonna help you deal with your issues” he gently said
“what issues?” she asked “issues as in im crazy?” she asked
“sweetheart look—” “i'm not insane” she replied cutting off her mother
“you're not” her mother replied
“then why do i have to go there?” she burst out in tears “why? why do i have to go to a mental health clinic?” she cried
“oh my poor girl” her mother cried too, seeing her crying like this, pulling her daughter in a hug
“my poor thing” she sobed “why is life so harsh with you” she cried
“its such a curse to live a life where im seeing my daughter being like this and i can't do anything about it” she sighed still holding her close to her
“my baby” she cried again “everything's gonna be okay” she gently rubbed her daughter's back
she held her like that until rijeen calmed down
.
few weeks later :
eventually rijeen was sent to this clinic for betterment.
but it's not a very nice experience for her or for her family there
she didn't wanted to come here yet she was sent here, she stopped talking to her parents and to hyungwon's parents.
everytime they'd come to visit she'll just go and hide somewhere in the clinic.
she didn't wanted to see them. she hated them for sending her here.
it's not just that. rijeen tried to took her own life. not once but twice
which was really concerning for the doctors, so they kept her under observation. they always checked up on her
but she became so unpredictable
one moment she's being all well and the next moment the madness kicks in, almost to the point where the doctors have to inject drowsing elements to her
it almost gets uncontrollable to tame her at those moments
it's almost as if she's possessed by some evil thing
“how's our precious miss hong rijeen feeling today?” the doctor moon inhyuk asked her
moon inhyuk is known for his special treatment with sensitive patients like rijeen
he's rijeen's doctor here in this clinic , ever since rijeen came here he feels nothing but pure affection towards her
he's so determined to help her out, to make her better, no matter how much time it takes
he always makes sure that rijeen knows that eventhough she thinks there's no one for her, she have him. he's her friend, her doctor, a shoulder to rely on.
he wants her to know that she's not alone.
“is that hemlock tree?” she asked staring outside the window, not replying to his questions
“uhh ..” he looked at her way and realised it is indeed hemlock “yup it is” he replied
she nodded in response. “so how are you feeling today?” he repeated his question
“i'm always good” she nonchalantly replied still staring out the window not feeling the urge to even look at her doctor
“that's great to hear” he replied with a smile eventhough she's not looking at him “is there anything you would like to tell me today?” he asked gently
patiently waiting for her response
“leave” she replied finally looking at him “that's what i wanted to say” she said her expressions unfazed
she's a sensitive one and he knows he shouldn't mess with her so he obeyed her
“fine ill leave but ill come again” he said with a smile “i want to talk to you i miss my friend” he said while smiling at her gently
she blankly stared at him “liar” she coldly said
“huh?” he asked because her voice was barely audible “all of you are a liar, big liars” she huffed
“i'm not lying you're real—” “he said that too” she cut him off “he said that he loves me and will come back to me” she retorted at inhyuk
“but look at him, he's gone” she chuckled “he never really cared for me because if he did he wouldn't have left me alone like this” a tear rolled down her cheek.
“everyone's a liar” she repeated her words “everyone including you” she pointed at inhyuk
at that moment inhyuk just wanted to hold her in his arms but he knows he shouldn't cross his boundaries and he should act like a professional
so he refrained himself, eventhough it hurts him to see her like this.
