—"YOU CLAIMED THE cannibal? and without telling me?!" daemon's angry voice echoed through the room as jaehaera glared back at him.
rhaenyra hadn't told daemon, but daemon had found it out from overhearing rhaena and lucerys talking about how jaehaera was so cool and she was even cooler for claiming the cannibal.
jaehaera didn't blame the young children, for she knew it would eventually get out anyway.
rhaenyra's eyes flickered between the father and daughter, ready to step in if anything were to happen.
it was the day baela would be going to driftmark and jaehaera would be going to runestone.
jaehaera had hoped her day would start easy and refreshing, but her hopes hadn't come true.
"i did." jaehaera said, rather smugly.
"and what of the egg i gave you the other day?" daemon asked frantically, angered by the fact jaehaera hadn't told him.
jaehaera's lips perked up in a small smirk. "i gave it to cannibal as a snack," she told him, making him even more enraged. "and if you do not move and let me pack for my flight to runestone then i will feed you and your dragon to cannibal."
daemon stepped forward at the mention of his dragon, a nasty glare on his face.
rhaenyra instantly stepped forward, grabbing his bicep and stopping him. "calm down, my love." rhaenyra comforted, her voice sweet and calm.
jaehaera watched them with a clenched jaw before she relaxed and reminded herself that there was nothing she could do about it.
