Leilani's POV

Ive been waiting for Carter to come back for 10 minutes and made the wise decision to go to her house.
I struggled pulling my suitcase out the.....wait was that sirens.
I ran to see what was happening.
I dropped to my knees crying. There she was. Lying on the cold hard ground unconscious.
*I hate Taylor swift*
"LEILANI!" Samuel came running towards me. He sat down and cradled me like a baby.
"How come you were here?" I sniffled.
"I was walking to keirans house and saw it all happen. I called the ambulance but the man got away. I'm do sorry."
He was crying too. Face stained red.
I heard someone crying. Worse than me. I looked up and saw jack, holding her hand. He repeatedly mumbled I love you. Keiran had to drag him away as the ambulance took her.
"Who is coming with us?" The nurse asked.
"We'll make our way there together. I'll ask my mum to drive us."
I pulled the others into a group hug. Its gonna be okay. I told myself.

When we arrived at the hospital it turns out the whole year from our school and jacks school heard about it. Some where crying, some had flowers. Some random person was wearing all black.
"SHES NOT DEAD. LEAVE." I pushed him away.
"Lani you need to calm down." Keiran tried to hug me
"DONT TOUCH ME AND DONT CALL ME LANI. ONLY CARTER CAN. ALL OF YOU LEAVE UNLESS YOU WERE CLOSE FRIENDS." I slid down the wall and hugged my knees.
Jack was pacing around and punching walls.
"Excuse me sir I'm gonna have to ask you to leave if you don't stop." The receptionist said.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!" He shouted before slamming the door and going god knows where.

"Who is here for Carter Hope?" A doctor walked out with a clipboard.
We all walked towards him waiting for the news.
"She is in a coma. I'm so sorry. She should wake up between a week to maybe 6 months." He walker away with a sad look on his face.
"NO NO NO I CANT LIVE WITHOUT HER. THEY CANT TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME." Lara hugged me tight trying to calm me down.
I just clocked something.
"IT WAS YOU. I KNEW IT WAS YOU. HOW COULD YOU ALMOST KILL MY BEST FRIEND THEN LIE TO ME ABOUT IT!" I punched him in his nose making it bleed.
"Samuel I think you should leave before you die today." Lara said pushing him out the door.
I was legit going mental.
"I need to see her."
I stormed in the room ignoring everyone trying to stop me. I paused at the sight.
Lots and lots of blood. She had a bandage wrapped around her hear and strips on her eyebrow
"You cannot be in here ma'am." The nurse tried pushing Me out.
"Can I just say goodbye." She nodded sympathetically.
"Carter, I will always love you. Please wake up for me, for jack. We are going mental out here. I'll be back later today because me and keiran have to go find jack before he does something stupid. Everyone is here for you. We aren't leaving you we just need to get over the shock.
I guess I'll see you later." I lesnt over to kiss her cheek before quietly shutting the door.
"You ready babe?" Keiran linked my arm in his.
"Yeah. Don't call me babe its weird." I smiled for the first time since it happened.

We have been looking for jack for about an hour now and decided to take a break at the park.
I sat on the bench and sighed.
"Lani isn't that jack there?" Keiran pointed to a boy swinging slowly on the swing with his hood up. I looked closer and saw a bit of his blond hair sticking out.
"Yep. Wait here."
I approached him and sat on the floor.
"Jack come sit here." He moved without talking.
We sat in silence for a bit before I spoke up.
"She's in a coma." With that said he began to cry again.
I pulled him into a tight hug.
"It hurts so freaking much.".
We were still hugging, then he playfully rolled us over so he was laying on top of me.
"Jack stop." I laughed.
He ignored me and started leaning in.
"Jack stop. Don't do this."
Then he did it. He kissed me. I couldn't even move coz he was on top of me.
"JACK YOU LITTLE BITCH!"
