Jungkook's POV:
I sat down next to the class president. First day, fresh start—I didn't want to attract any unnecessary attention. But then she spoke to me.
"Hi, I'm Min Y/N. Class president. I think we've met before, right?" she said, flashing me a playful smile.
I froze. Her. It was her. The girl from my dreams. Same face, same eyes, same everything. My heart sped up like I was in a race with no finish line. Could she know me, too? No, that's impossible. I barely even know myself at this point.
"Uh, hey... I'm Jeon Jungkook. Honestly, I don't remember us meeting," I said, keeping my cool on the outside, but on the inside, I was full-on malfunctioning.
"So, you don't remember bumping into me this morning and sending me flying? You didn't even help me up!" she teased, her lips curving into a mischievous smile.
Oh, crap. That was her? "That was you? Oh, shoot, I'm really sorry! I thought I was gonna be late and totally panicked. My bad," I muttered, feeling embarrassment creep up my neck. Nice move, Jungkook. Real smooth.
"Apology accepted," she giggled, and for a second, I thought maybe this was just coincidence. Maybe she wasn't the girl from my dreams after all. But everything felt too familiar. Was it really just random? My head spun with a million questions.
Y/N's POV:
Talking to Jungkook was... weirdly comfortable. Like, not in the "hey, I just met you" kind of way, but more like "hey, I've known you my whole life." It didn't make sense, but something about him seemed so familiar.
"Who's that?" Jungkook asked, nodding toward Meiling, who was busy scrolling through her phone.
"Oh, her? That's Chou Meiling. She's Taiwanese. And, yes, she's my best friend," I said with a proud smile.
"Your best friend?" Jungkook repeated, like it caught him off guard for some reason.
Jungkook's POV:
Her best friend? I glanced over at Meiling. She looked exactly like Princess Min Hwa from my dreams. What the hell? First Y/N looks like the princess, and now her best friend resembles the princess's sister? This was getting way too freaky. Was I still asleep? Is this Inception?
Before I could process all of this, the teacher called for silence, and the class settled down. I shot a glance at Y/N, trying to signal that we would talk later.
---
Y/N's POV:
"Want me to show you around the school?" I asked Jungkook during break. I wasn't sure why, but something about being near him just felt... right.
"Sure, I'd like that," he said, his expression cool but a little smile tugged at his lips.
"Is it cool if Meiling comes along?" I asked, knowing she'd give me the side-eye if I ditched her.
"Yeah, that's fine," he said, shrugging like it was no big deal.
"Great, let's go!"
As we were walking down the hallway, Jungkook suddenly waved at someone and took off running. Meiling and I followed, and I nearly tripped when I saw who it was—Kim Taehyung. Like, the Kim Taehyung.
"Y/N, Meiling, this is Taehyung hyung," Jungkook introduced. "He's a family friend and basically my favorite hyung."
Oh, this is gonna be fun. I glanced at Meiling, knowing exactly what was about to go down.
"Hi, Taehyung Oppa," I said casually, throwing Mei Ling a smirk that screamed, Brace yourself, girl.
---
Meiling's POV:
Oh. My. God. My brain short-circuited the second Taehyung's name was mentioned. What do I say? Hi? Hello? Is calling him Oppa too forward? Why was my heart suddenly racing like I'd just run a marathon?
"H-hi," I stammered like a broken robot, my face heating up to a ridiculous level. Taehyung smiled at me, and that was it. I was done. My heart slammed in my chest like it was trying to escape, and my legs felt like actual jelly. I couldn't stay there another second.
"I just remembered I have something to do," I blurted out, barely coherent, before making my not-so-graceful escape. I rushed back to the classroom without looking back, feeling like I might actually pass out.
---
Back in the classroom, I slumped into my chair, desperately trying to calm down. My breathing was erratic, my hands were shaking, and my heart refused to chill out. What is wrong with me? I felt like the room was spinning, and my thoughts were racing at a million miles per hour.
Suddenly, I felt a gentle hand on my back.
