Thank you so much for choosing to read Lineage, a HP/Hogwarts Story!

I hope you enjoy the book. There are a few things I want to establish before the book starts, just so they're clear:

1. This book has the use of 3 female O/Cs . They are a part of of the Black family tree and were all placed in Slytherin during the sorting ceremony. They each have slow-burn love stories with canon characters:

Penelope Black with Harry Potter
Ursula Lestrange with Cedric Diggory
Cassandra Malfoy with Theodore Nott (more of a secondary plot)

They are also written into various cannon plots including those with the Golden Trio, Dumbledore's Army, Draco Malfoy's mission, among others. While they start the book as a trio, they may not always stay that way... (you'll have to read to find out lol)

2. The protagonists in this book change a LOT throughout the book. This is due to both character progression and also the varying writing quality (sorry about that) so just because a character acts one way in 3rd year, doesn't mean they'll stay like that for the duration of the book.

3. The quality of the writing in this book is really variable. I started this book quite a few years ago before abandoning it, and what I've decided is that I'm going to publish revised versions of each chapter as we go and pick the book back up again. However, a lot of it is still based/from these original chapters (which were really bad - trust me) so there is quite a lot of variation. As I'm going through, it's clear that this is mostly a problem in Year 3, but I just thought I would issue a warning.

4. For the time being, I will not be including any smut/mature scenes in this book, as I do not feel comfortable writing those type of scenes including minors. However, once the characters have left Hogwarts and are adults, I will be more than happy to hear any special requests people have.

5. I will be basing this book from a kind of hybrid of the books and movies, but the direct dialogue will come from predominantly the movies as it easier to find. Also, I have re-watched the movies more recently than I've re-read the books, and while I am in the process of re-reading them, for the sake of the way this book was previously written, it's easier to stick to the movies.

6. If you spot any grammar or spelling mistakes, feel free to tag me in the comments. Please do so in a nice way :)
