JETBLUE AIRLINES FLIGHT 67-TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2001, SOMEWHERE OVER IOWA

(Shay Jackson, age 13)

JetBlue Airlines Flight 67 took off from O'Hare airport around 7:32 AM, from Chicago to Seattle and onboard was Shay and her mother as they were flying to Seattle to attend Shay's father's funeral. Shay was silent as she was sitting in her seat and was reading the safety booklet as her mother looked on.

"Look, Shay, I know that you don't know your father and you wanted to know him. I'm sorry, but please say something." Her mother said before letting out a sigh.

"I know, mom." Shay nodded.

"Get to the back of the plane! Allah Akbar! Move!" Someone yelled out as there was screaming and scuffing going on in first class before everyone was shoved to the back of the plane as Shay and her mother realized that the plane was being hijacked.

"Mom? What are we going to do?" Shay asked once everyone got settled in the back of the plane.

"We stay in our seats." Her mother informed her as she grabs an airphone and begins dialing the number of her sister and explain to her what was going on.

"This is a terrorist attack." Her mother whispered once her sister explains to her what was going on in New York and DC and what just happened in Boston.

The aircraft has officially turned around and now flying back to Chicago as everyone was wondering what's gonna happen next. Shay's mother continued talking on the phone as Shay looks around and wondered if they are going to land the aircraft back at O'Hare.

The plane suddenly rapidly descends as the hijack pilot nose dives the plane towards the Sears Tower. Shay and her mother were hugging each other as Shay's aunt heard everything in the background.

"Tamika, we're going down!" Her sister screamed.

"Stay on the line, Tara!" Tamika screams back, on the verge of tears as she can hear the whistle of the plane descending.

Without warning, the call abruptly ends as she didn't hear from Tara and Shay again as suddenly her tv begins breaking another story of an attack just in the city of Chicago.

AT 8:25 AM CENTRAL STANDARD TIME, JETBLUE AIRLIENS FLIGHT 67 CRASHED INTO THE SEARS TOWER IN CHICAGO, KILLING ALL 73 PEOPLE AND OVER 6OO MORE PEOPLE INSIDE THE BUILDING AS EVCAUTATIONS WAS TAKING PLACE AROUND THE SAME TIME.
