Before we continue, the following chapter will include scenes where the OC interacts with God. God represented in this book will not be biblically accurate, it is written to fit the story and how the OC views God. It is in no way to offend anyone, but if you're displeased with how the Creator will be portrayed, you can always click out of the book.
"Would you look at the little star."
Estella was staring wide-eyed at her surroundings, everything all too familiar it hurt.
"A beautiful creation."
She began running in the direction further away from the scene before her, hoping to forget everything she saw earlier and hope it was all just a bad dream.
"Adorable!"
As if the world was against her, she collided into an invisible wall, blocking her way to freedom, forcing her to remain close to the scene—or rather—memory she had tried so hard to forget.
"No, no, no!" She began panicking, backing her steps but keeping her back facing the area now crowed by angels, merely talking amongst themselves whilst having their attention on something in the middle of the circle.
She spread her wings and made an attempt to fly away, only to find herself unable to, as if gravity was doing everything in its power to hold her down, refusing to give her a chance to flee.
"Get me out!" She screamed, tears threatening to fall.
She looked back at the surrounding crowd, seeing as they remained motionless to her sudden outburst, she presumed they weren't able to hear her or notice her presence, confirming her dreadful theory that this was indeed a long forgotten memory.
Realizing standing there rooted in spot would do her no good, she let out a shaky exhale before making her way towards the group of angels which she now recognized to be the Elders she had once looked up to in her younger years.
She wasn't surprised to find her younger self laying in a cot in the middle of it all, the younger version of herself with those ocean blue eyes she had came to adore, her once snowy white hair she used to hold, and the pure white wings now stained with Hell's sins. Estella inched closer until she was standing directly over the child, looking down at how innocent she used to be, unaware of the dark side reality truly held. It was a nostalgic feeling, she thought to herself, and wished she could go back to the good old days.
Just then, she felt the rustle of the crowd move, causing her to abruptly turn around, her eyes immediately landing on the being she had learned to loath. God. The crowd of Elders had moved to allow Him access to the scene. She slightly stiffened at their close proximity, but knew it was just a memory, meaning He could not see her, giving her a sense of relief.
Estella saw Him move His mouth to speak, but no words sounded, causing her brows to furrow even further.
Suddenly, the scene shifted, causing her to lose her balance from the sudden movement but quickly regained herself swiftly after. She looked around, immediately recognizing the white wallpapers of the room, the wide window giving view of Heaven's woods, and the beautiful woman sitting in a nearby armchair, watching something out of her line of vision with a warm smile on her face.
Penelope.
"Penelope?" She found herself whispering softly, a sense of hope and sadness behind her the name.
The Elder angel didn't react to her name being called out, instead, she moved to get out of her seat and move towards the thing she had been staring adoringly at. Estella's gaze followed her form, her eyes landing on her younger self now walking around on her two little legs, wings softly flapping behind her, causing the older one's breath to hitch in her throat.
