Yechan's fists loosened as the tension left his knuckles, but a darker emotion flickered beneath his calm exterior. His smile was razor-sharp, but the fire in his eyes said more than his words ever could. Lam Lee's amusement was obvious as he noticed the subtle shift in Yechan's expression.
Lam Lee: "If you're trying to spare your members... you're doing a bad job."
Yechan's lips curled into a grin—cold and calculating. His laughter came, low and dark, a sound devoid of warmth.
Yechan: "I'll help you absorb them quickly... and find that daughter."
Lam Lee paused, his interest piqued. He glanced at Kim Jin, who remained stoic, but a faint nod confirmed their silent understanding.
Lam Lee: "Alright, kid. Listen closely."
Lam stepped closer, his voice lowering, beginning to drip out pieces of the truth—things about the crew, things Yechan had never known. Each word seemed to slice through the air, and as Yechan listened, his face began to change.
First, his brow furrowed slightly, his smile faltering. The muscles in his jaw tensed. His eyes, wide with intrigue at first, now darkened as hatred and bitterness twisted his features. His fingers twitched the desire to strike out coursing through him.
Lam Lee: "She's been using all of you. And you were too blind to see it."
Yechan's jaw clenched hard, a vein pulsing at his temple. His gaze shifted to the floor for a moment as if trying to keep control. But the words struck too deep. His crew—his friends—weren't just pawns, they were nothing more than obstacles in this game. He had thought himself clever, but the truth was cutting him open from the inside.
Lam Lee: "All those missions? They were never for you or your crew. She's not who you think she is."
The bitterness in his chest swelled like a storm. His nostrils flared, and his face contorted. His mind raced, flashing through memories—moments he thought had been genuine. Now, they were poisoned, twisted into cruel manipulations. His teeth ground together, his body trembling ever so slightly with the mix of anger and disgust building inside him.
The corners of his lips twitched, fighting between a snarl and a grin. His envy burned beneath it all—envy that she had fooled him, that she had the power he craved.
Yechan: (internally) "I was nothing... just a tool... to her."
Kim Jin: "You okay there, kid?"
Kim's voice was flat, almost indifferent, but it snapped Yechan back. He met Kim's gaze with burning eyes—hatred swirling like a dark storm beneath the surface.
Yechan: "More than okay. I think I found out what I need to do."
His voice was sharp, but it trembled with barely restrained fury. His breath hitched in his chest, every word Lam said feeding his growing need for revenge. It was no longer just about proving his loyalty—it was about ripping apart everything she had built, every lie she had spun. He wanted to tear it down with his own hands.
Lam Lee: "Good. You'll get your chance."
Yechan's lips twisted into a wicked smirk, but beneath it, his face was a mask of hatred, barely contained. His eyes flicked from Lam to Kim, and back to the floor.
