As the crew's lighthearted banter filled the room, Myul's focus drifted away from the noise. Laughter echoed, and jokes were thrown back and forth, but his mind was elsewhere. With a quick glance at his system interface, he knew it was time to take advantage of the moment. His lips curled into a smirk as he muttered under his breath.

Myul: "Claim."

The sound of his voice was lost amidst the conversation, but his words triggered a response from the system. A familiar notification slid into view, its interface glowing softly before his eyes.

<Normal Card>
 <Gold Card>
 <Ch-Ch-Changes>
 <Allows the user to switch two crew member stats for 2 minutes>

The card descriptions flashed before him, but it was the last one that caught his attention. Myul's eyes narrowed as he read the details, his fingers lingering over the holographic screen.

Myul: "Ch-Ch-Changes, huh? A temporary switch... but for the right moment, that could turn the tide."

A sly grin formed as he considered the possibilities. Two minutes could be just enough time to catch an opponent off guard, especially in the chaos of a fight. His thoughts raced as he considered who in his crew might benefit most from a sudden stat boost. Jin Na's stats were already impressive, but Ken, with his more moderate potential, could surprise enemies if paired with someone like Myul or Bong.

The system responded once more with another notification.

<Card Festival: Increased duration by 2 minutes>

His grin widened.

Myul: "So now it's four minutes. Even better."

Scrolling further through his inventory, he came across more cards. Each one had potential, but he needed to be strategic about their use. He wasn't the type to play all his cards at once—pun intended. He knew when to hold back and when to strike.

One card in particular piqued his interest.

<Trigger Card>
<Jin Na Exclusive>
 <Survivor>
 <The user is invulnerable to all damage for 5 seconds>

He tapped the card's description, his eyes flickering with amusement as he read it.

Myul: "Five seconds of invincibility. Just long enough to turn the tables in a tight spot."

It was a defensive card, one that could get him out of trouble if things ever went south. But Myul rarely found himself in those situations—he was a strategist, always thinking two steps ahead. Still, it was good to have a card like this in his back pocket. Just in case.

He kept scrolling.

<Attack Card>
<Jin Na Exclusive>
<Pure Counter>
 <A counter-attack that varies in power, depends on the user's gauge>
 <[0/100]>

The gauge mechanic still puzzled him. He tapped the card a few times, trying to make sense of how it worked.

Myul: "What's with this gauge? Why can't it just give me a straightforward attack?"

No matter how much he studied the card, its meaning remained elusive. He would have to figure it out later—perhaps in the heat of battle when the stakes were high. That's when things usually became clear. But for now, he set it aside and turned his attention back to his crew.
