Jin Na stood motionless, surveying the dimly lit room, her gaze sweeping over her captives with a cold, unyielding stare. A faint, oppressive silence hung in the air, only broken by the slow, scraping sound as Myul dragged a defeated and tightly bound Samgawi across the rough concrete floor. The former head's once imposing figure was now a crumpled mess, tied up and powerless.
Ken sat casually atop a half-conscious William, his expression shifting between a lazy smirk and a look of mild irritation as William's faint struggles faded. Jin Na's focus, however, was locked on Grace. She crouched beside her, tugging at the bindings and tightening them further until Grace could hardly shift in her seat.
Grace: "Are you into bondage?"
She quipped, her voice light and teasing despite her precarious position.
Jin Na: "No."
Grace arched a brow.
Grace: "Then why tie me up like this?"
Jin Na's tone was calm, almost impassive.
Jin Na: "Precautions."
Grace let out an exaggerated sigh.
Grace: "Just say you have a fetish. It'd be easier."
Jin Na's brow furrowed as he tugged at the last knot.
Jin Na: "I understand watching Jun Hao wasn't a picnic..."
A flicker of darkness crossed Grace's expression, and she looked away, her gaze drifting to the distant wall.
Grace: "I was just trying to distract myself from that."
Jin Na's voice softened slightly.
Jin Na: "Sorry."
Grace scoffed, her usual flippancy giving way to a weary acceptance.
Grace: "Eh, no hard feelings. We all knew we were fighting with our lives on the line."
She twisted her neck slightly, stealing a glance over her shoulder. Across the room, Mujuk knelt on the ground, hunched over in visible distress, his hands gripping his stomach as he retched. Bong hovered nearby, an awkward hand resting on Mujuk's shoulder, patting his back with an uncertain, almost reluctant sympathy.
Grace: "We just didn't expect one of our own to finish us off."
Jin Na's gaze sharpened, his expression unreadable.
Jin Na: "One of us?"
Grace held her gaze, her voice dropping to a bitter murmur.
Grace: "Am I not?"
Jin Na hesitated, something flickering in his eyes.
Jin Na: "...Maybe?"
Before she could say more, Myul's deep voice cut through the silence, jolting her back to the present.
Myul: "Jin Na."
Jin Na straightened, looking over at him. Myul's face was stern, his expression unreadable as he assessed the scene around him.
