"My heart was beating so fast. Hands were clam-", "Basically she was nervous and thus ran away." Tia glared at me hard as I interrupted her overly emotional speech she was presenting to Michael, her hopefully future boyfriend.

Michael chuckled and Tia's glare directed to him. He visibly gulped, and suppressed his chuckle. This man was clearly whipped for her.

"What! She was taking a lot of time." I defended in order of saving myself from her wrath.

Tia then smiled sweetly, the fakest smile I have ever seen in my 20 years of being her best friend," Luc, why don't you take your girl on a walk for few minutes." The way she gritted his name out anyone could tell how much she hated Luca.

The reason he was tolerated here was him being Michael's best friend. But what caught my attention the most was the 'Your girl' .

"I'm not his girl." I scowled and the very next moment I regretted my words.

Tia smirked "I never said that I was talking about you."

Dammit, I could literally feel Luc's smirking. He was standing directly behind me.

Close, Too close. His scent gave it away.

"Shut up" I walked away there laughter fading in distance. I sat near the pool and dipping my legs in water.

I shivered when I felt his breadth on my neck just beside my ear. "Are you not my girl, Swan?"

I signed deeply, trying to calm my beating heart and whispered, "No, I'm not."

He took a seat leaving almost negligible distance between our arms. I turned to look at his face, expecting him to smirk. But no he was smiling, That damn smile which makes my heart flutter. "Right, You are not my girl. You are my queen. Only Mine."

His eyes met mine and I couldn't look away. I felt myself drowning in them. Those Green orbs carried a promise so intense and deep. It wasn't a new thing. Him claiming me as his. But that emotion made a huge difference. Telling me that he would never let me go. Not that I minded.

There I said. After 5 years of denying, I finally accepted it. I wanted to be with as much as he wanted to keep me with him.
