Aahan exited the cabin and started walking towards the hills completely ignoring the shouts of his family. Their voices gradually faded in the background and he felt relaxed leaving all the chaos behind. Yes they were his family but sometimes they were just too much. His mind circled around everything he heard and paused on a certain person.

And he felt himself calming down. She always acted like a potion to his mind. But today only her thoughts weren't enough. He desperately wanted to hear her voice.
He glanced at the watch in his hand.

She must be in her cabin, sleeping. He even forgot his phone in hurry and he wasn't going back any time soon. He signed in defeat and continued walking. He finally paused in front of a hill. He slowly climbed.
His eyes widened when he saw a figure sitting near the cliff, a very familiar figure. Her face shining under moon light. A grin made its way to his lips. He never felt this happy by just seeing someone.
She looked lost with a serene look on her face, her eyes fixed on the moon. She was so lost that even his footsteps couldn't bring her out of the world she was in.
He hesitantly reached for her and poked her shoulders. Yami jumped lightly and turned," The hell Aahan, You scared me." He laughed at her expression. " What are you doing here anyway? That too this late."
He sat beside her on the ground, something he would have never done days ago.
"I can ask you the same question."
"I couldn't sleep so come here for fresh air." He nodded
"Me too, Beetle." He frowned when she didn't reacted at the nickname like she did always and just nodded.
Something was wrong.
"Are you okay?"
"Ya, What would happen to me?" She smiled which he knew was anything but genuine.
"You are so innocent. Can't even lie properly."
She scowled, "I'm not lying."
"Sure."
She groaned, "You are so annoying."
"I know"
"And irritating"
"They are synonyms"
"What?" She asked confused.
He leaned in, there face inches apart, "I said irritating and annoying are synonyms."
Her breadth hitched at the proximity.
" Yes, they are synonyms." She turned her face away to hide her blush.
"What nothing to say now?" He smirked
" You are cocky too."
"Well sweetheart, Anyone would be cocky with the qualities I have."
She took a 90 degree turn and sat facing him completely, her brain not registering the endearment he used for her.
"What kind of qualities, Please do tell." She mocked.
"My handsome face, genius brain, awesome body, superb communica-" He answered
"Superb and awesome are synonyms too." She deadpanned
He paused and both of them burst out laughing.
Between his laugh, his eyes fell on her face. How beautiful she looked, how sweet her laugh was to his ears and how her company has the power to make his day. And that was the moment Aahan realized that he was in love with this beautiful creature sitting in front of him.
