"You stupid, idiot." Mahi jolted up from her sleep hearing Sia shout at Ayush.
"Guys, What happened,? And why are you shouting Sia?" She asked, her voice still hoarse.
"This guy happened. I told him numerous times to use Google Maps. But, no, he was too confident that he remembered the way to the place he had visited only twice, years ago. He took 2 wrong turns. Like two. Can you believe it? " Sia glared at Ayush who kept his eyes on the road trying to navigate.
"Oh C'mon Guys, I know the way. Trust me."
Mahi massaged her head and glanced at her side to find Rohan sleeping peacefully hugging his pillow closely.
"First of all, Sia sweetheart stop shouting. Ro here hasn't slept well last night either. So please lower your voice. And you Ayu, please use maps instead of your rusted brain. You know what do one thing, let me drive you now. You too have been driving for quite a long."
Without an argument, he gave in and pulled the car aside. He and Mahi exchanged their seats and she started the car and drove with Sia telling her the way.
"I knew he was tired," Sia muttered under her breadth but audible enough for Mahi to hear, she glanced at Ayush from the mirror and smiled when found him sleeping.
"He is just too humble to ask himself." She said back.
A few hours later, The girls couldn't control their hunger. Fog faded as the Sun slowly arose from their left. She stopped the car in front of a decent-looking Dhaba and came out of the car. Boys too exited the car after them and stretched their limbs.
"God, I'm so hungry," Ayush mumbled. "Me too".
"Let's go inside."
Four of them entered, Dhaba was yet to open properly, and thus not many people were there. It seemed that they were the only customers.
A teenage boy approached them as they took a table. Ayush was sitting beside Mahi with Sia across her who sat beside Rohan.
"Good morning" The boy standing beside their table.
"Good morning." They wished back.
"Sorry, but we aren't properly opened yet. So, we don't have many options right now."
"It's fine, Just get us what you have." Ayush was the first one to answer.
Boy nodded and added," Does Aloo Paratha work, my father makes the best parathas."
"Really?" Sia asked seeing his enthusiasm.
"Yes, They are my favorite."
"Okay, then get us 4 of them for now and. Chai?"
The other 3 nodded. A cup of 'garam garam chai' was something they needed at the moment.
"4 cups of tea."
The boy left taking their orders. Rohan took out his phone.
"Are you recording the vlog?"
"Of course I am." Yes, guessed right. Rohan was a vlogger too and a famous one that besides handling the company, he and Mahi started together. When he started it, none of them believed that he would turn this famous. It was when he showed them his 1 million followers and they were like.
'Arey baba yeh kya dekh liyo'
"If the paratha is that much good, then it deserves appreciation," Rohan added.
After that, Ayush said something she didn't hear as her eyes were focused on something outside the window. The window had a perfect view of a cliff with a bench on it. She could see names scribbled on the bench.
The place piqued her interest and she found herself walking towards it. She walked through the back door towards the cliff. She stood beside the bench and her eyes fell on a particular phrase written on it.
A *heart* S
She raked her fingers over the text.
Is it possible that her parents once been in the same place she's standing right now?
She scolded herself at the thought.
Her parents weren't the only couple with those initials.
Shaking her head, she turned to return. Halfway back, Rohan caught up to her.
"What were you doing outside? Food has already arrived."
She muttered nothing and pulled him to the table with her.
The duo settled on their previous seats. Rohan took out her phone and started recording.
"Food here is really delicious. You can confirm the same from our food expert Mahi. Mahi say hi."
He suddenly, pointed the camera toward her while recording. Mahi opened her mouth but as her mouth was filled her 'Hi guys' sounded like 'Thai Duis'. Her face turned red in embarrassment as others laughed. She immediately gulped the food down her throat and attempted to speak again but Rohan had already turned the camera back to him.
"Looks like Our Mahi is too busy enjoying her food."
Mahi glared at him to which he smirked and winked. She clutched the cup tightly.
If only she had a knife with her, she would murdered the guy then and there without any remorse.
She looked down at her food and the sight of her food melted her anger in an instant. She happily took a bite and nodded in appreciation.
After that, they continued eating. The whole time Mahi's mind kept wandering towards the bench but she quickly pushed it to the back of her mind.
They paid for the food and left. This time Sia took the driving seat as it was her turn to drive.
Ayu was in the passenger seat while Ro and Mahi sat in the back.
They started their journey to Jaipur. By the time they reached, it was about half past 11 p.m.
Their car neared the huge palace booked for their friend's destination wedding. The guards on the door did a quick security check and let them in the palace after they showed them the digital invitation card.
Sia passed the car keys to the valet. The bellhops wearing the traditional Rajasthani dress, carried their bags. Before they could reach the reception counter, a small, excited voice called out from behind.
"Hey chipmunks"
4 of them turned back together moment looked like it was planned to the onlookers.
Green eyes, brown hair, and a wide grin stood there, Swara Raijada, The bride and the 5th chipmunk herself.
"Took you guys long enough to re-" She didn't even complete her sentence when her friends crushed her into a tight hug.
"God, we missed you so so much," Mahi said out loud pulling Swara closer.
Swara who felt like she was being buried yelped in pain.
"Do you want to kill me a week before my marriage?"
