From the crunching leaves and cooling weather, exams were done with and the winter woe had begun. The sadness winter usually brings has come early for Tetsurou Kuroo.
It has been a little while since Kuroo had last seen [Name] in that blazing heat. He was never a dumb person, he knew all too well that she was ignoring the male. If the rooster-cut boy were to be in her position, he would never talk to him again. Something inside of him yearned for her, though. However, as of the current cooling autumn, [Name] had not attended her classes. Kuroo knew because he would always check her classroom, seeing as she sat right next to the window and would always be spacing off while reading a textbook of some sorts. The female would always be in her little world, her existence not noticeable to anybody near her. Something felt off, but he brushed that feeling away. [Name] probably never wanted anything to do with the male ever again. She told him countless times that she was lonely, but he left her for some girl. Though, the both of them are third years, so their lives easily had gotten swayed.
Of course, the male still had volleyball. He was the captain, after all. Many people looked up to Kuroo and admired the hazel eyed boy for his athleticism.
He couldn't wait to get out of practice. Kuroo needed to go somewhere.
Kuroo needed to make sure someone was okay. After all, the rainy days were some of the most dangerous.
"I like the winter, oddly enough. The cold lets me get cozy in my blankets while I'm studying."
A statement she said. Everything reminds Kuroo of her. Perhaps he could not wait until the winter.

The sky sobbed its heart out, the pouring droplets bashing against the ground. The evening was unfortunately a gloomy one, the roads dangerous as the male looked about for the hidden female. His steps were silent as the rain was louder, the umbrella he carried barely working at all. By memory, he found himself walking up the sidewalk to her home. A lamppost was on, igniting the foggy night. There it was, the sight of her house. The one he visited so often in the summer. A warm smile faded upon his face, his eyes shimmering with a reflection of the light in front of her house.
However, his smile abruptly casted away.
A girl, calmly sitting on the top platform of the stone wall surrounding her home, drenched because of the unforgiving rainfall.
"You're going to get sick," she said, her face showing a slight distaste at the sight of the male. The volleyball captain looked rather confused.
"Says... you? You're out here, too," he replied, his hazel eyes dimming slightly at her tone. [Name] seemed to be off, and that was a given fact. Kuroo was ready to apologize and own up to his mistake, but... something was wrong. He ignored the scratching, aching feeling. This just may be the animosity between the two of them. "Why don't we... why don't you go inside?" There was no way that Kuroo would be allowed to enter her home once again.
The girl shrugged her shoulders, shaking her head, "I don't wanna."
"You don't-...? [Name], come on." Her first name came naturally from his mouth, genuine concern etched onto his face. One could see it in his eyes; the fact he desperately wanted to make amends. "You're going to get sick."
"... Kuroo," she said with a soft tone. "Go home."
And so he did.
He was no longer welcome in the home of the girl he deemed unimportant that fateful summer night.

It continued to rain, the freezing temperatures turning the droplets into snow on the ground. It was now December, and there were so signs of the mysterious female at all. [Name] still was not showing up to school. Kuroo sighed, one filled with worry. However, the boy did not know how to even start a conversation with the female. There was not a single reason for him to even converse with her.
