She never knew when to tell him.

That soul crushing secret she holds deep to her heart.

As always, she is on the left of Kuroo, fixing her hair while his eyes are focused on her.

Kuroo liked her so much. And she knew, because she liked him, too.

It ached her heart, keeping this painful secret. The male deserved to know, but she could not bring it up to him. Guilt drenched her entire being, the sulking dread consuming herself.

The two of them were walking together, [Name] swaying her hands as she hopped with every step. The lonely female was rather lively today. She and Kuroo conversed about various topics that crossed their minds, the conversation flowing naturally. If anyone saw how glued together they were, it was only an instinct one would have to see that they were extremely close. Soul tied, even. Ever since he stopped her that day, a sudden urge to befriend the isolated female, he had always formed a strange bond with her.

"Ah, but you're telling me you've never listened to Frank Sinatra?!" She semi-yelled, somewhat confused. "You're so... ugh! Uncultured rooster!"

"H-hey...! Isn't that person from somewhere else?!" Kuroo quickly shot a response to defend himself. "Of course I won't know him- I mean, there was that song on the radio the other day that only you seemed to enjoy-!"

"Mr. Brightside?! Of course I'd know that damn song," she sighed, suffering greatly. The tall male stressed her out with his lack of knowledge. "You are an absolute trainwreck when it comes to these treasures!"

"How do you even know about these?" He asked, shaking his head.

"... My dad," [Name] smiled. "Think we were overseas, visiting where he was originally from before he fully came to live here for my mom. Mr. Brightside came on the radio while we were driving, and..." She stopped and paused for a moment, a sparkle in her eyes as she thought of the happy moment. "It was past my bedtime when I saw him and my mother dancing to Frank Sinatra. I got in trouble since they told me numerous times to go to bed, but it was worth seeing them happy."

"You're gonna have to show me some of his songs," he suggested, walking right beside her. "This... Frank person seems to be a good artist."

"And he is." [Name] concluded sternly. "And you best bet I'm going to have you listen to him tonight."

"Huh. Okay," Kuroo smirked, shaking his head. "How about my house? I need to study for midterms."

"..."

"And I'm sure you do, too," he spoke quietly. [Name] has not been showing up in school, so he was unsure whether or not she was attending school elsewhere.

"Not really," she said softly, a soft shake within her reply. "I'm okay."

"..." Was she okay? Probably not, but it is not his place to interfere, is it? "Alright then."

More silence. It bothered Kuroo. What was there to talk about?

"... When are you going to go home, [Name]?" The sudden question made her breath hitch.

"..."

"..."

"Soon, maybe."

-

It was a comfortable and quiet evening. It was perhaps a week before exams, and Kuroo was encouraged to pay attention to his studies rather than continuously talking to [Name]. However, the male was not able to do so, and so here the female is, sitting at his house with nothing to do. She studied with music in the background, but at a very low volume. Kuroo... did not. Well, everyone is different.
