Yagi Toshinori, the number 1 Pro hero and the Symbol of Peace,  stood on the other side of a window, watching his unconscious successor  being checked over by doctors and nurses.  How had he not realized? 6 months, and he had no idea...

"Don't beat yourself over this... He hid it all too well when with  you." The number one glanced at the Underground hero at his side,  Eraserhead. Tired eyes glanced over the boy. "He really trusted you to  let you get close so quickly. Took me weeks."

"Y-you've spoken to him before?" Toshinori asked curiously. He had  known his successor preferred to be alone and avoided strangers.

"Yes. When he can, he likes to run away from the house at night to  sit at the trash-covered beach. I met him there. Took at least 4 visits  and lots of food to let the boy know I wasn't a threat. But... I guess I  am the lucky one, never to see what that woman did to him in person..."

"How could she have been like that...?" Toshinori frowned, pressing his hand to the glass.

"This so-called hero society only cares about people with quirks.   I had trouble growing up with my own quirk because it is considered  weak. My nephew has trouble with people calling him a villain for his."  Eraserhead said.

"Has bullying really increased that much on Quirkless people...?"  Toshinori muttered. Eraserhead glared at him suspiciously. "My quirk has  certain requirements! I was an extremely late bloomer!" he quickly  explained. "Of course," he looked back at Midoriya Izuku. "Back then...  there were more people being born quirkless, so there were always  groups..."

"As far as I am aware, Midoriya Izuku is the only quirkless child  in his school. The staff there were also extremely negligent, allowing  his classmates bully him, and use their quirks on him." Eraserhead  frowned. "You'll get more details in the briefing."

"Briefing... but I am not apart of this case..." Toshinori began.

"You are now. That boy needs you."  Eraserhead said. "He needs  someone like you to protect him because from this moment and for the  next year or so, life is just going to be one huge shit storm."

"And his life hasn't been like that already?" Toshinori asked  sadly. Eraserhead and Toshi looked back at the boy. The doctors had left  his side, he was sleeping, wired up to machines and an IV. They had to  give him some emergency nutrients due to malnutrition. Toshinori just  wanted to yell at the world for breaking everything this boy wanted.

"Come, let's get the doctors notes and get to that briefing. There  is a meeting room set up here for it." Eraserhead said, Toshinori  nodded and followed the underground hero.

"Tsukauchi. Why am I not surprised you're on this case?" Toshinori gave his friend a smile.

"He was the one who brought up the boy," Eraserhead said.

"I had a bad feeling. I went to his school to do a talk, how  everyone was treating him..." Tsukauchi shook his head. "As soon as I  started asking the teachers about they handled their behavior towards  them, they began lying through their teeth... they just, let it happen.  So, I sent an underground hero to stake out the house...How did you get  involved, Toshi?" Tsukauchi asked.

"I was training the boy to be my successor... I had no idea about  how it was at home until he collapsed..." Toshinori fell silent, clenching  his jaw to stop himself shouting.

"He carried the boy home and was unfortunate to hear first hand how his mother treated him," Eraserhead said.

"Oh, I see... I am sorry you had to see something like that, Toshi...  but it also helps. With All Might now personally involved in the case,  we can finish all the necessary warrants and get talking to staff,  getting school CCTV. We can make a full case from this and get him the  justice he deserves." Tsukauchi informed.
