Shepard received the next set of dossiers through his comms. He noticed that this set didn't have an engineer. Garrus was their closest to it, and he only knew the main guns, not the drive core. Shepard tossed the datapad on his table, sitting back on the couch with a sigh. "Edi?" he called.

The hologram activated instantly, "yes, Commander?" The feminine voice replies.

"Do we have any dossier for someone with skills in drive cores? Gabby and Ken will need some help when we hit the Collectors." Edi's hologram seemed to be loading the information, Shepard guessed she was sifting through the dossiers they had.

"We do not, however, I believe we may have one who could provide help." Shepard raised a brow, leaning forward slightly.

"Who?" he asks.

"Tali Zorah, she has the most experience concerning Normandy drive cores." Shepard nodded, Tali spent her entire time in the SR1's drive core. She was talking Engineer Addams ear off about facts on drive cores and asked questions he sometimes couldn't keep up with.

The idea seemed good, but Tali was unavailable the first time Shepard asked her. "I tried back on Freedoms Progress remember, she said she had her own mission that only she could complete."

"Yes, Commander. However, I have been monitoring the Quarian fleet's communications. Tali and her team seem to be trapped by Geth on a Haestrom in active Geth space." Shepard stood up, arms on his hips as a thousand questions raced through his mind.

"The hell is she doing in Geth space?" he aggressively asks.

"I am unsure. Her message has little details on the mission parameters. She has asked for backup from the fleet, they have not sent any as of yet." Shepard started to march to the lift, opening his omni-tool as he did.

"Joker get us to Haestrom, be careful it's active Geth space. I want us there in a few hours tops." Shepard pushed the button to the mess, his next stop was to find Garrus.

"Geth space? Sure," Joker answers with some surprise. The ship could be heard rumbling as the drive core primed for the jump to light speed, they had to get there quickly.

"Edi, can you get a message to Tali? Tell her we are coming?" The hologram had popped up in the lift, the blue hue lighting Shepard up.

"No, communications received to the planet is impossible. Tali sent the message knowing the only reply would be reinforcement sent." Shepard swore under his breath, it was never simple for him or the crew.

Kaidan sat with Garrus and Grunt in the mess hall, all eating very different meals from each other. Kaidan had been suspicious of the food coming aboard, he'd only eat when Garrus was with him. Grunt was a very laid-back Krogan, seeming to not speak much past telling everyone he wanted to kill something.

"Good food, Kaidan?" Garrus asks. Kaidan shook his thoughts away as he looked up at Garrus, he followed the Turian gaze down to his plate of eggs and bacon. The food was in fact really good.

"Yes, better than the crap we had on the SR1," he answers. Gardener, the chef looked over at him, smiling slightly at the compliment.

Garrus chuckled, pushing his food around on the plate. Kaidan couldn't even guess what it was if he tried, it almost looked like porridge. "Thank Shepard for that. He got better supplies for Gardener. Though it seems I was forgotten about," he drawls pushing his plate away.

"Sorry, Garrus," Gardener calls from the stove. "Shepard couldn't get much for dextro and you're the only one on the ship that needs to eat it."

Grunt giggled to himself, grabbing Garrus' plate to finish it. Garrus didn't try to stop him. "You really will eat anything, won't you," Kaidan laughs.
