                     ♥︎BRANDON♡

I can't stop thinking about Athalia. The way she sounded on the phone–it wasn't right.

She was off, like she was hiding something. I could hear it in her voice as much as she tried to brush it off.

As I walk to my car, I see Alex leaning against the hood, grinning like he owns the place.

My hands clench into fists as he pushes off the car and starts walking towards me, that stupid cocky smile plastered on his face.

"Hey, Brandon." He says, his voicing dripping with sarcasm. "How's it going?"

I don't respond. I narrow my eyes at him, wondering why he's talking to me.

"You know.. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that she's with you. I didn't realise that she was into charity cases. And I guess she wanted someone easier to.... manipulate."

  "Fuck off."

He raises an eyebrow, his smirk growing. "Did she tell you what happened between us? Nah, probably not. I'm sure she didn’t want to hurt your feelings."

  "What are you talking about?"

He grins at that. "Just saying that she and I had... a little fun, if you know what I mean."

I laugh at that. Athalia could never do something like that.

"Oh. You don't believe me? Isn't this her lipgloss?" He holds the tube of lipgloss she uses.

  "Nice try, Alex."

"Fine. Don't believe me," he steps even closer. "But just so you know, she couldn't keep her hands off me. How do you think I got my lip bruised? She's quite feisty, naughty too." He says smugly.

  "Right. Like I believe that."

"Oh, Brandon. I didn’t think you'd be this naive. Do you think a girl like her could settle for a guy like you? Please."

I stay silent, trying not to let his words get to me.

"But tell that bitch that next time, she should let me show her what it's like to be with a man. I mean, that ass doesn't deserve to be wasted."

He then he wraps his arm around my shoulder like we're friends.

"And the thing that pisses me off is that I almost had her. I was so close, but she ran off like I was trying to do something bad. I mean.. I just wanted to have taste."

My blood boils, and I begin to see red.

"I bet she's tight, too. I can imagine her wrapped around my–"

Before he could finish his sentence, my body moved faster than my mind. I lunge at him, slamming him against the ground.

My fist slams into his face over and over again. The sound of the impact was drowned by the fury roaring in my ears.

Alex tried to shove me, but I didn't give a chance. I was stronger, fueled by the rage I hadn't felt in a long time.

"Don't you ever touch her." I shout, my voice shaking with rage as I land another punch. "Don't you fucking talk about her."

He tires to fight back but I'm too far gone. I grab his shirt, pulling him closer. My knuckles are bloody and throbbing.

I slam his head on the ground. Before I can continue, someone lifts me off him.

I looked behind me, and the guys who pulled me off him put their hands up in surrender.

"Look, man. You're going to kill him." One of them points at Alex.
