paul aron's point of view...*.•🪻•.*

THE GROUP OF TEN FRIENDS HAD ONCE AGAIN DECIDED ON THE BEACH BAR, for their late night adventure. this however, was much to paul aron's dismay. nerissa, the waitress he had an embarrassingly large crush on, was working tonight. which meant he had wanted to visit the lounge-bar at the resort. he was outnumbered by votes though, so there was nothing he could've done.
while everyone was enjoying themselves, paul sat in a corner of the bar, a drink in his hand. of course, he loved that his friends were having fun and he was aware that he was just sulking, but he couldn't help but be a little upset that he couldn't go see his crush at the resort.
he was doing some every-day people watching while he sipped his pina colada, when suddenly he was graced by the gods above. nerissa stepped onto the platform under the gazebo, animatedly talking to a girl paul had also seen working at the lounge-bar in the resort.
he checked the time on his phone, 23:18, it had read. he figured she might've gotten off early at work and she was coming to enjoy a night out with one of her colleagues. she wore a short white dress, making her look like an angel to the blonde boy.
out of nowhere, dino popped up in front of him, "just go talk to her mate." he said with a smile, paul looked at him bewildered. "you're mad. i think she's sick of me after how many times we've been in the bar at the resort." the estonian boy answered, waving it off.
"bro, she's looking over here, she's looking at you." dino stressed, hitting him on his arm. paul looked back up to meet her eyes, just to receive the most beautiful smile he had ever seen. it was so contagious, he smiled back unintentionally.
"talk to her, paul. with the way she smiled, i don't think she's sick of you." dino smirked teasingly, making paul shove his arm. the brunette boy just laughed, getting up and leaving paul to pluck up his courage.
he sat there for a while, contemplating his choices. he figured, if she rejected him, he'd only have to survive a month in the maldives and then he'd never see her again. if she didn't reject him, he scored the girl. it was worth it.
maybe the alcohol in his system helped making that choice, but he couldn't back down now. he was already standing up from his chair, leaving his empty glass on the table.
when he looked up again though, she was gone. he didn't see her in the spot she had been when she had smiled at him. paul frowned to himself in confusion, looking around for a glimpse of her blonde hair somewhere.
he saw her on the dance floor, but she wasn't smiling anymore. paul saw her talking to a man (who looked about twice her age), she looked uncomfortable and angry. paul didn't even think twice before storming up to the girl and her... accomplice.
"hey nerissa! i was looking for you!" he shouted over the music, acting like he didn't notice the man in front of the girl. the girl turned towards him, seemingly breathing a sigh of relief. "who's this?" paul asked, casting a look at the unfamiliar man, who looked to be about fuming.
"i don't know." nerissa stated, looking back over to the weird man. "i think it's better if you go." paul said, loud enough so the guy could hear him. he could see the man mutter something to himself before angrily sauntering off.
nerissa turned back to face paul, "thank you. i don't think he was gonna give up." she said to him, a small thankful smile adorning her lips. paul swore he might as well just have melted in that moment.
she was standing close to him, to be able to hear him speaking over the music. she was looking up at him with her big blue doe eyes, and that beautiful smile he longed to see. despite of how his mind was racing, he kept his cool, "no problem, angel."
she giggled at his nickname for her, "angel? why's that then?" she questioned, before grabbing one of his hands and tugging him off of the dance floor, and into a more secluded corner of the bar.
once it was quieter, paul answered the question she had asked before, "the first thing that came to mind when i first saw you." he replied smoothly, a charming smile casted in her direction.
she laughed again, "you're fucking cringe... i don't mind actually." nerissa smiled again, keeping her hand firmly in his. paul was leaning on the wall with his right shoulder, nerissa with her left as they were facing each other.
"tell me about yourself paul. i've known you for like three weeks and i only know your name." the blonde girl insisted, paul nodded immediately and told her all about himself.
they had been conversing in the corner for a while, when silence fell over the couple, well, as silent as it could be in a busteling beach bar.
she looked up at him, smiling a little more shyly then she had done before. "kiss me, paul?" and he did not have to be asked twice.
his free hand instantly went to the gape of her neck, pulling her face towards him softly. "as you wish." he had smiled before lowering his lips onto hers.
he had gotten the girl. sublime!
