Falling for the maknae wasn't on Jun's bucket list, not in the slightest.

He'd come all this way with Seventeen, spent years in the trenches with these guys, building dreams and breaking barriers, the whole time following a silent rule that had kept them grounded; no distractions, and definitely no feelings, especially not toward the youngest.

Not towards Dino.

But somehow, there he was, quietly watching as Dino laughed with their bandmates, his smile bright enough to rival even the harsh stage lights they lived under.

Dino, the youngest of them all.

He'd joined the group with an infectious energy that hadn't faltered, his drive matching his enthusiasm as he poured every bit of himself into their craft.

Jun had watched him grow, from an excitable kid to a grounded and determined man, shedding his baby-faced innocence bit by bit with every comeback, every show.

It was a strange thing, realizing feelings that shouldn't have been there.

One moment, they were friends, bandmates, brothers even, all molded into a solid, supportive group.

But suddenly, Jun's heart was beating a little too fast when Dino's arm would brush against his during dance practices.

He'd catch himself lost in thought, wondering how Dino kept his positive spirit through the late nights and exhausting schedules.

Those moments crept in unannounced, little seeds of affection he couldn't quite deny but wasn't sure he could accept either.

He kept it to himself, letting the weight of his own emotions press down on him like a silent storm.

There was a part of him that ached with guilt, feeling like he was trespassing into something sacred, something that could disrupt the delicate balance they had all worked so hard to create.

But another part, the part that had stolen glances across rooms and found comfort in Dino's laugh, whispered that maybe, just maybe, it was worth the risk.

As they sat in their dressing room one evening after a particularly grueling rehearsal, Dino flopped down beside him on the couch, exhausted but still grinning like he hadn't just danced for hours.

He shot Jun a teasing look, nudging him with his shoulder.

"You okay, hyung? You've been quiet tonight."

Jun smiled, but it felt tight, almost forced.

"Just tired."

He replied, not quite meeting Dino's gaze.

He wanted to look, wanted to see the warmth that Dino always radiated, but he was afraid of what Dino might see in his own eyes if he did.

Dino raised a brow, clearly unconvinced.
