The night was dark, with only the faint glow of the moon illuminating the vast cityscape.
Inside a sprawling yet quiet mansion on the outskirts of the city, twelve brothers sat around a long table in a dimly lit room.
Their expressions were grim, their silence heavy.
Each of them bore the marks of their shared pain; tired eyes, tense jaws, and the kind of stoicism born from enduring too much loss too soon.
They were Seventeen, named for the family's legacy and the number their mother had always imagined when she dreamed of her children's futures.
But fate had been cruel.
Their youngest brother, Dino, was taken from them the very day he was born, ripped away by unknown hands.
Their mother, already frail, had succumbed to her illness soon after.
The stress of Dino's disappearance, compounded by her worsening condition, had drained her spirit.
On her deathbed, her last words were not of herself, but of her lost child.
"If Chan is alive,"
he had whispered, her voice thin and trembling.
"Find him. Protect him. Love him as I would have."
Those words had been a promise etched into their hearts, a vow they carried every waking moment.
For years, they searched for Dino, chasing every lead, no matter how faint, but the trail always went cold.
