2 months later…..
For the past few weeks I was really enjoying New York and forgot all about my Dad. When I got home from the movies with Jayden, Crystal, Leah and her boyfriend Leo, My Mum was calling me
“Alisa honey, is that you.
“Yeah I’m home now Mum, why” I said walking into the front room. When I walked in my Mum was on the phone mouthing
“Your Dads on the phone come” I sighed then dragged my feet towards were my Mum was sitting down.
“Hello” while I was talking I jumped in the sofa and laid down.
“Hi darling I haven’t heard from you in ages how are, how’s your new school is it okay?”
“Yeah Dad its fine made loads of new friends and I’m really enjoying New York”
“Aw I’m so glad to hear that you’re happy” while Dad was talking I could hear Sandra talking in the background, just hearing her voice made me sick
“Dad, when are you coming to visit?”
“Oh I’m booking a flight now so ill be just in time for your seventeenth birthday” Oh my gosh I can’t believe my dads coming to my birthday.
“Yes, thank you Daddy and I hope you’re not bringing Sandra with you” I said flicking through the channels on grandmas TV.
“Shhh young lady don’t be so rude about Sandra”
“Okay but is she?”
“No she has to work so it will be just me is that okay with you” “yeah it’s okay with me” I said.
“Okay well I have to go now so put your sister on okay, bye love you” “okay love you too”.
“Alia, Dads on the phone come quick” I was shouting so loud Mum had to tell me to shut up.
“Alright Alright keep your hair on” Alia said walking in the Room in her Pj’s, she takes the phone then says
“Hi Daddy” I walk out the room and into my room then ring Crystal.

Today is the 10th of November and it’s my Seventeenth birthday, I’m having a big party at a club my Mum rented out for the whole night. It’s 1 o’clock in the afternoon and the party doesn’t start until 9pm, so I’m getting ready for the party with my Mum, we was lucky because the hall we rented out is just across the road from grandma’s house and we’re still living their because our house is still being painted.
I Laid on my bed with my phone beside me, I picked up my phone which showed 1 ping from Crystal;
Hey birthday girl xx hope you’re having a good day luv you lots will come by your house later on to help xx.
Then I got another ping but from Jayden;
Hey love (Love was the nickname Jayden had named me ever since we went to the movies together) happy birthday, hope your enjoying your b-day and ill come round later bye xxx
Ding dong, as soon as I heard the bell, I ran as quick as I could hoping it was Crystal, Jayden, Leah, Leo and Isaac Crystals new boyfriend. When I opened the door I had the shock of my life and the grin on my face quickly faded.
“Oh, my, gosh, hey girl, how are you” I can’t believe my Dad brought SANDRA to my birthday party, after she stopped talking she instantly pulled me towards her. I tried to resist but she was too strong for me.
While she was hugging me I saw my Dad standing behind her, he gave me a look like he was trying to say sorry. When she let go she saw Alia standing in the door way and instantly ran up to her and hugged her. I walked up to Dad and kissed my teeth,
“Why is she here?” I said cutting my eyes at her.
“Stop being so rude, Sandra is my girlfriend and you have to accept that” he said frowning at me then walked off to say hi to Alia. “Hey what’s that on your finger are you married?” Alia said fiddling with her boney fingers. Sandra looked at my Dad who was smiling then nodded.
“Alisa honey who was at the door?” Mum said walking towards the door.
“Oh hey Nathan, Sandra when did you get here” Mum said forcing a smile on her face, anyone could tell that mum didn’t like Sandra but she just couldn’t admit it.
“Oh hi Camilla how you been, you look like you’ve put on some weight since the last time I saw you” after Sandra finished talking
Me, Mum, Dad, and even Alia looked at her like that was a rude thing to say, but she took no notice and continued to tell us why she had a wedding ring on. The truth was Mum and Sandra hated each other ever since Mum found out Dad was cheating on her with Sandra.
“Well Alia, a couple days ago me and your Dad went out to dinner and your Dad proposed to me” when Sandra said that I thought I heard wrong so I had to ask her to repeat herself.
“Hold on, hold on, did you just say that my Dad proposed to you?”
“Yeah” while she was talking my Dad had his arm over her shoulder.
“You proposed to this women (while I was talking I was pointing at Sandra but looking dead in my Dad’s eyes) are you serious?” I can’t believe my Dad proposed to this woman who he cheated with when he had my Mum, my Dad was with my Mum since they were in high school and he didn’t once ask her to marry him. But this woman comes along who stole my Dad away from my Mum and they want to get married. “Yeah I’m serious Alisa and in a few mouths time Sandra will be your step mother” while my Dad was talking he couldn’t stop staring at my Mum like he wanted her to be upset, but she took no notice of him.
“Oh hell no, I’m not calling her step mother, are you crazy? I can just about call her by her name now you want me to call her stepmother to, (I kissed my teeth) you can forget that”. “Alisa you do what I say” my Dad said raising his voice.
“Wait now hold on , if my child doesn’t want nothing to do with Sandra then that’s up to her, she’s seventeen now and can make her own decisions ” My Mum said sticking up for me. While we was having our Conversation I could hear Jayden’s car parking up outside my house, when he came out I saw he had flowers and a big present with balloons stuck to it. Crystal was behind him with a small present but big card. When I saw them I screamed then ran up to them and started hugging them.
“Happy birthday girl, here’s your present.” Crystal said smiling and laughing.
“Oh you shouldn’t have, but I’ll take it anyways”.
“So what you don’t see me standing here” Jayden said sounding shocked.
“Of course I do” I said smiling. He handed me the flowers and the big box raped with a blue ribbon around It,
“happy birthday love” when he finished talking he kissed me on the check then we all hugged together.
“Alisa, are you going to introduce me to your new friends” My Dad said walking up to us. I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah sure, Dad this is Crystal my best friend, Crystal this is my Dad. Dad this is Jayden my …… um ……… err-
“I’m Alisa’s close friend Jayden (Jayden puts his hand out so Dad can shake it) nice to meet you sir” when they finished I pull Crystal and Jayden by their hands into the house. While I walked past Sandra I give her a dirty look then walk to my room with Crystal and Jayden behind me…
